A driving support controller determines whether it is an opportunity to change a traveling lane based on a predetermined condition in an self-driving activated state in which an acceleration, a deceleration, and a steering of a vehicle equipped with the driving support controller can be automatically controlled, and performs a control to present a lane change proposal to an operator of the vehicle when a lane change is determined to be possible. The device performs an automatic lane change control in response to an intention of the operator agreeing to the lane change proposal. In this case, when the operator's intention is determined to be in disagreement with the lane change proposal, the control to present the lane change proposal to the operator is suspended until a predetermined cancelling condition is met.

Driving support controller

A vehicle control device includes a single manipulandum that selects at least one of first to n-th modes in which ON/OFF states of mutually related functions are set, or a function OFF as an operation support function of a vehicle. An operation support controller selects a transition order according to the current mode when the current state is any one of the first to n-th modes, and sequentially selects each one of the first to n-th modes other than the current mode, and the function OFF based on the selected transition order, each time an operation of the manipulandum is detected. The n is a natural number of 2 or greater.

Vehicle control device

A brake control apparatus includes a main brake controller configured to control a brake fluid pressure supplied to main brakes provided to a vehicle's four wheels according to a proceeding vehicle's traveling conditions to automatically stop the vehicle using a braking operation of the main brakes and maintain the stop condition and an auxiliary brake controller configured to control parking auxiliary brakes provided to right and left front wheels or right and left rear wheels of the vehicle to perform a braking operation so as to maintain the stop condition of the vehicle. When the auxiliary brakes perform the braking operation while the brake fluid pressure is being supplied to the main brakes to stop the vehicle, the main brake controller rapidly reduces the brake fluid pressure to a predetermined fluid pressure value and then gradually reduces the brake fluid pressure before the main brakes are released.

Vehicular brake control apparatus

Provided is a speed limiter, wherein a vehicle speed is detected, and a speed limit displayed on a speed sign is detected based on an image captured by a front monitoring camera. A speed difference between the vehicle speed and the speed limit is calculated, and an accelerator sensitivity gain is set using the speed difference as a parameter. Then an accelerator opening degree is corrected with the accelerator sensitivity gain to obtain a pseudo accelerator opening degree. A target throttle opening degree is set based on the pseudo accelerator opening degree and an engine rpm.

Speed limiter

There is provided a driving support apparatus for a vehicle. When a speed limit that is not equal to a set vehicle speed is detected by a stereo image recognition device, a cruise control unit temporarily performs a standby mode in which a value of the set vehicle speed can be switched to the speed limit, and displays the set vehicle speed and the speed limit so that the speeds can be compared with each other and selectively maintains the set vehicle speed or switches the set vehicle speed to the speed limit based on an operation state by a driver during the standby mode.

Driving support apparatus for vehicle

There is provided a driving support apparatus for a vehicle. A driving control unit determines whether or not a three-dimensional object ahead is a three-dimensional object having high reliability as a control object for an automatic brake control based on a condition set beforehand, when possibility of collision between the vehicle and the three-dimensional object ahead is determined to be high. When the reliability of the three-dimensional object ahead as the control object is determined to be low and the amount of increase in the accelerator opening degree is equal to or larger than a set value, the driving control unit cancels the execution of the automatic brake control.

In an integrated controller for a vehicle, a main control unit determines whether a road ahead is a split-&#x3bc; road based on captured images obtained by left and right CCD cameras, and, if so, increases a braking intervention distance correction gain for correcting braking intervention distances set by a collision prevention control unit. The collision prevention control unit performs collision prevention control at a brake timing earlier than usual using the braking intervention distances corrected by the correction gain. Furthermore, when the road ahead is determined to be a split-&#x3bc; road, the main control unit decreases a target torque correction gain for correcting a target torque set by an engine control unit to prevent the vehicle from becoming unstable as a result of a yaw moment acting on the vehicle generated by a generated driving force due to a difference in friction coefficient &#x3bc; between left and right road surfaces.

Integrated controller for vehicle

At least a follow-up target inter-vehicle distance is set on the basis of information about a preceding vehicle recognized by a forward-environment recognition device mounted in a subject vehicle and including a stereo camera, and it is determined whether or not the preceding vehicle is making a right/left turn. When a right/left turn of the preceding vehicle is detected, the follow-up target inter-vehicle distance is multiplied by a correction coefficient so as to set a different follow-up target inter-vehicle distance for the right/left turn.

Vehicle running control system

A cruise control unit, configured to permit starting when an inter-vehicle distance to a front vehicle exceeds a determination threshold before a preset amount of time passes from a driver's operational input during a stopped state, calculates a first threshold that is updated to be larger according to a change in the inter-vehicle distance in the stopped state when the distance changes to be larger and a second threshold that is changed to be larger as a speed of the front vehicle is higher, and variably sets the determination threshold based on the larger of the two thresholds. It cancels the permission if a time passing from the operational input is determined longer than a cancel determination time for determining whether it is immediately after the driver's operational input and if the front vehicle is determined to stop or substantially stop at a speed lower than a preset vehicle speed.

Provided is a driving support apparatus for a vehicle. When a stop signal is recognized by a stereo image recognition device, a cruise control unit calculates a traffic signal target acceleration for making a subject vehicle stop at a stop position of the stop signal. When a follow-up cruise target acceleration is not calculated and the traffic signal target acceleration is calculated, the cruise control unit substitutes the traffic signal target acceleration for the follow-up cruise target acceleration. When the follow-up cruise target acceleration and the traffic signal target acceleration are calculated and the traffic signal target acceleration is smaller than the follow-up cruise target acceleration, the cruise control unit substitutes the value of the traffic signal target acceleration for the follow-up cruise target acceleration.

A branch-lane entry judging system includes a traffic-line detecting means for detecting traffic lines on right and left sides of a vehicle, a length and width detecting means for detecting lengths and widths of the traffic lines in a real space, a lane-type judging means for judging types of the traffic lines and a type of a lane in which the vehicle is running, a branch-lane detecting means for detecting a branch lane when one of the traffic lines changes from a solid line to a broken line having a predetermined length and a predetermined width, the branch lane existing near the changed traffic line, and a branch-lane entry judging means for judging that the vehicle will enter the branch lane when the vehicle moves toward the branch lane or a directional indicator is operated toward the branch lane while the branch lane is detected.

Branch-lane entry judging system

A preceding vehicle speed estimation unit estimates a preceding vehicle speed after a predetermined period of time based on a preceding vehicle speed and an acceleration of the preceding vehicle, and an ACC target vehicle speed setting unit sets a target vehicle speed for the vehicle following based on an inter-vehicle distance between the vehicle and preceding vehicle and the preceding vehicle speed after a predetermined period of time. Then, during the stop maintaining control, an ACC resetting acceptability determination unit compares the target vehicle speed and a reference threshold. When the target vehicle speed is greater than the reference threshold, it is determined to accept ACC resetting in response to the driver's input operation, and, when the target vehicle speed is equal to or less than the reference threshold, it is determined not to accept ACC resetting.
