An impeller includes a substantially cylindrical cup portion arranged to rotate about a center axis, a plurality of blades fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the cup portion for unitary rotation with the cup portion to draw air from one axial side and discharge the air to the other axial side, and an annular connector portion arranged to interconnect the blades. The connector portion has a substantially cylindrical shape in a position spaced apart about 70% to about 90% of the radial length of the blades from the base of each of the blades on the outer circumferential surface of the cup portion, and the ratio of a total axial height of the connector portion to a total radial gap between the outer circumferential surface of the cup portion and the inner circumferential surface of the connector portion is equal to or smaller than about 0.9.

Blower fan

An impeller, a fan apparatus, and a method of manufacturing the impeller are provided. The impeller includes a support portion, a plurality of rotor blades, and a joining member. The joining member is a substantially annular member provided to strengthen the rotor blades against influence of a centrifugal force, and extends in a circumferential direction along a circle centered on a central axis so as to join the rotor blades to one another. In each of the rotor blades, a point of intersection of a leading edge of the rotor blade with a radially outer end of the rotor blade is positioned forward, with respect to a rotation direction, relative to a point of intersection of the leading edge with an outside surface of the support portion. The joining member is positioned radially inwards of the radially outer end of each of the rotor blades.

In an axial flow fan, a line extending from a center axis and passing a corner where a following edge and a radially outer edge of a blade of an impeller meet is arranged forwardly in a rotational direction from an another corner where a leading edge of the blade and a radially outer surface of a hub meet. Furthermore, a camber ratio of the blade, which is minimum at a joint with the hub across the blade, monotonically increases to be maximum at the radially outer edge of the blade.

Electric axial flow fan

A motor includes a rotor portion including a shaft and a rotor magnet rotatable about a center axis, an armature arranged opposite to the rotor magnet to generate a torque therebetween, a circuit board arranged below the armature in an axial direction substantially parallel to the center axis and including a control circuit controlling rotation of the rotor portion, and a base portion including a bearing holder which supports the armature on its outer side surface and the shaft on its inner side surface via a bearing member. The armature is pressed against the bearing holder in the axial direction with an elastic member.

An axial fan motor comprising: a fan having a rotating shaft and composed of a hub and a plurality of vanes provided around the hub, the fan rotating to generate an air flow; a stator substrate set comprising a stator core, which drives the fan, an insulator, and a substrate; and a venturi having a sleeve, into an inner peripheral side of which a bearing is inserted to support the rotating shaft and to an outer peripheral side of which the stator core is fixed, the venturi being formed on one side thereof with an air suction opening and on the other side thereof with an air discharge mouth, wherein a space is provided between the stator core and the sleeve.

In an axial flow fan, for reducing fluid noise and further reducing the noise by suppressing solid-conveyed noise (structure-borne noise) generated by the vibration of an electric motor or the like, the axial flow fan is equipped with a propeller, a motor for driving the propeller, and a venturi portion disposed on the outer circumference side of the propeller and provided on its inner circumferential side with a bellmouth through which an air flow generated by the revolution of the propeller passes, wherein the bellmouth has an intake portion whose diameter contracts in a curved shape in the direction of the air flow, a cylindrical portion having a cylindrical shape, and a discharge portion whose diameter slantingly expands in the direction of the air flow.

An axial flow fan of high efficiency and low noise level is provided. The fan includes a motor, an impeller having a plurality of blades around a hub fitted to the motor, and a fan casing having an air inlet on one side and an air outlet on the other, wherein a radial position with a maximum setting angle in a blade section, and a radial position with a contour of a leading edge portion in a fluid flowing direction forming a projecting apex in the flowing direction are located between 60% and 80% of the outside diameter of the impeller.
