A body cover construction for a motorcycle includes a body cover having a front mudguard which covers an outer circumference of a front wheel, a front cover covering a front portion of a vehicle body from a front to sides of a headstock, floorboards extending from a lower rear portion of the front cover to below a seat so that rider's feet rest thereon, and underside covers covering sides of the vehicle body lying below and forwards of the floorboards. When the vehicle body is seen from a side, a lower edge portion of a front side surface of the front cover extends in a longitudinal direction and is at a similar level as a lower edge portion of a mudguard side surface of the mudguard. A front upper end portion of the underside cover extends upwards to a position which is a predetermined distance from the lower edge portion.

A body cover construction for a motorcycle includes a body cover having a front cover which covers a front portion of a vehicle body. A front lower cover covers a front surface of the vehicle body, below the front cover and which has a curved opposite surface which continues from above to a rear of a front wheel to face opposite the front wheel. An undercover covers a lower surface of the vehicle body lying further forwards than a power unit and lighting further rearwards than the front lower cover. A lower end portion of the front lower cover has a curved portion and can extend rearwards to be connected to the undercover. The curved portion is formed so that a radius at a transverse center is larger than radii at transverse end portions.

A saddle type vehicle is provided wherein the visibility thereof can be improved. The saddle type vehicle includes a headlamp configured to illuminate the front of the vehicle and position lamps configured to emit light for the visibility of the vehicle or act as blinkers. The position lamps are disposed in a left and right pair in front of the headlamp. Further, the left and right position lamps are disposed in such a manner as to sandwich the headlamp therebetween as viewed in front elevation.

The saddle type vehicle includes a vehicle body frame, a steering shaft supported for rotation at a front end of the vehicle body frame and configured to steer a front wheel, a front cowl disposed around the steering shaft and covering a front portion of a vehicle body, and a pair of accommodation portions provided on the front cowl. The accommodation portions are disposed in left and right pair. A wind inlet portion of a screen provided so as to be erected uprightly from the front cowl is disposed between the left and right accommodation portions.
