A lubricating device for a belt-shaped member includes a pair of belt holding members. Each of the belt holding members has a corresponding one of outer peripheral surfaces, is disposed at a corresponding one of end portions of the belt-shaped member in an axial direction of the belt-shaped member, and holds the belt-shaped member. The lubricating device has first grooves and second grooves. Each of the first groove extends in a peripheral direction in the outer peripheral surface of a corresponding one of the belt holding members and holds a liquid lubricant. Each of the second grooves extends in the peripheral direction, is provided at a position in the outer peripheral surface of a corresponding one of the belt holding members further to an outside than the first groove in the axial direction, and holds the liquid lubricant.

A powder collection device includes a transport pipe, a powder collection container supported turnably on a pivot center provided in an attachment part of an apparatus body and removably attached to a position to cover an attachment part of the apparatus body, a pipe-side opening/closing mechanism that opens a discharging port by moving an opening/closing lid in cooperation with an operating member of the powder collection container when the powder collection container is turned to the position to cover the attachment part, and a container-side opening/closing mechanism that opens a collection port by moving a container opening/closing lid in cooperation with an operating member of the transport pipe when the powder collection container is turned to the position to cover the attachment part. The discharging port is disposed on a side of a vertical line including the pivot center different from the apparatus body.

A charging device includes a charging member, a cleaning member, and first and second support members. The charging member rotates around a rotation shaft and charges of an image holding member. The rotation shaft of the charging member is disposed parallel to a rotation shaft of the image holding member. The cleaning member rotates around a rotation shaft and cleans the charging member. The rotation shaft of the cleaning member is disposed to incline with respect to the rotation shaft of the charging member. The first support member supports one end of the charging member and one end of the cleaning member. The second support member supports the other end of the charging member and the other end of the cleaning member, has the same configuration as a configuration of the first support member, and is disposed symmetrically with the first support member with the charging member interposed therebetween.

A powder container includes a container body for storing powder, the container body having an introduction port from which the powder is introduced; a transport member having one end provided, in a rotatable manner, on a side wall of the container body, at a position below the introduction port, and the other end serving as a free end that is displaced upward as the amount of powder recovered in the container body increases, the transport member transporting the powder from the one end to the other end by being rotated; and guide portions provided on the container body to guide the transport member in directions intersecting a direction in which the other end of the transport member is displaced as the transport member is displaced upward.

A detachable unit to be attached to a unit-receiving apparatus includes a unit body, a rotary member, an urging member urging the rotary member toward a downstream side in a detachable-unit-attaching direction, a contact-receiving portion provided on the rotary member, first and second support-receiving portions provided at respective ends of the rotary member, first and second supports provided at respective positions of the unit body corresponding to the positions of the first and second support-receiving portions, and first and second rotary support members provided between the first support-receiving portion and the first support and between the second support-receiving portion and the second support, respectively, and supporting the respective ends of the rotary member such that the rotary member is rotatable. An image forming apparatus includes: an image holder; an exposure member that has an exposure portion exposing the image holder; a first positioning unit that determines a distance in a first direction, which is a direction of an optical axis of the exposure member, between the exposure member and the image holder; and a second positioning unit that determines a position of the exposure member with respect to the image holder in a second direction being a direction of an axis line of the image holder, and a position of the exposure member with respect to the image holder in a third direction being perpendicular to both the first direction and the second direction, and that determines the distance between the exposure member and the image holder at a position substantially closer to the exposure member than the position of the first positioning unit.

An image-forming apparatus includes: an image carrier; a latent image-forming unit for forming a latent image on the image carrier; a cleaning unit including a residue removal member a residue transport member; a residue collecting unit having an receiving port adapted to be able to connect to and be away from the ejecting port and to receive the residue ejected from the ejection port; a shield member capable of shifting between an ejection position and a shield position; and an approach and separation mechanism that moves the latent image-forming unit between an approach position where the latent image-forming unit approaches the image carrier and a separate position where the latent image-forming unit is separated from the image carrier, the approach and separation mechanism allowing the latent image-forming unit to move to the separation position as the shield member shifts to the shield position.
