Provided are a network service construction system and a network service construction method which are capable of flexibly constructing network services that satisfy various needs. A purchase management module receives service requirement data indicating a service requirement. An E2EO module and an inventory management module identify, based on the service requirement data, a configuration of a functional unit group that achieves a network service. Based on the identified configuration and template data in which the configuration is acceptable as a parameter, a CMaaS module, a service manager module, and a slice manager module identify a construction procedure of the functional unit group. The CMaaS module, the service manager module, the slice manager module, and a container management module construct the functional unit group by executing the identified construction procedure.

Network service construction system and network service construction method

A controller for an autonomous network includes a processor configured to execute composable and replaceable modules in an interconnected manner to configure controller components. The controller components comprise a sensing component configured to collect sensor data about at least one controlled element under control of the controller, an analyzing component configured to process the collected sensor data to derive a current state of the at least one controlled element, a deciding component configured to, based on the derived current state, decide an action to be made with respect to the at least one controlled element, and an acting component configured to carry out the decided action with respect to the at least one controlled element, by causing a change in at least one of an operation of the at least one controlled element, or a configuration of the at least one controlled element.

Autonomous network, controller and method

In a method of operating a portable access node, a lease request is transmitted to lease a portion of a communication resource assigned to but not used by a local communication system, where the portable access node is located within a coverage area of the local communication system. Upon receiving a response granting the lease request, a communication service using the leased portion of the communication resource is provided.

Femtocell base station, cellular system and method

A server of a mobile network operator (MNO) executes network control logic for unbundling vertically integrated software on specialized hardware equipment, referred to here as a host. For example, the server performs a handshake with the host, and establishes an encrypted channel. The server then negotiates with the host, and determines those interfaces that the host will expose to third party software. The server, based on a current need of the MNO for a network service, compares the negotiation results with contents of a smart library. If the smart library does not have a registered and suitable app for the network service, the server obtains metadata corresponding to the app from a software supplier. The server then, for example, tests the metadata on a mockup of the host, under the control of the server. The host eventually runs the app, providing the network service without requiring an entire software revision of the host.

Managing a software application

A messaging method includes causing a mobile device to be registered in a database by storing identification information associated with the mobile device in the database and storing network connectivity information indicative of whether the mobile device is connected to a wireless network in the database. The method also includes facilitating a message to be communicated to the mobile device from a messaging device remote from the mobile device by causing the identification information and the network connectivity information to be communicated to the messaging device.
