A position-measuring device includes a housing having a first portion in the form of a hollow section and extending in a longitudinal direction. The housing includes at least a first passage and a second passage, the first and second passages each extending in the longitudinal direction at least partially through the first portion. A scale is disposed within the housing for being scanned as part of a position measurement. The position-measuring device includes a connecting channel, the first and second passages being interconnected via the connecting channel.

Position-measuring device

An optical position-measuring device includes a scale and a scanning unit. The scale is connected to a first object, extends along a measurement direction and includes a first track having an incremental measuring graduation, and a second track having an absolute measuring graduation. The scanning unit is connected to a second object and includes a light source, a detector having an absolute detector arrangement configured to detect an aperiodic light pattern transmitted from the absolute measuring graduation onto a detection plane and an incremental detector arrangement configured to detect a periodic light pattern transmitted from the incremental measuring graduation onto a detection plane, and a fiber-optic plate arranged as a continuous component in front of the absolute detector arrangement and the incremental detector arrangement, wherein both absolute track information and incremental track information in the respective detection planes are transmitted via the fiber-optic plate in this manner.

Optical position-measuring device

A length measuring device includes a carrier with a scale which extends longitudinally in a measuring direction. A scanning carriage for scanning a measuring graduation of the scale is longitudinally guided in the measuring direction, and, via a coupling, is rigidly coupled to a driver in the measuring direction and transversely thereto coupled to it in a flexible manner. The coupling includes a coupling element arranged between a first coupling point on the scanning carriage and a second coupling point on the driver. At the second coupling point, the coupling element is attached via a solid-body joint that is designed to carry the coupling element so as to be freely rotatable in relation to the driver about an axis of rotation which runs perpendicularly to a plane of the measuring graduation. The coupling element has a lower density than steel and/or a higher modulus of elasticity than steel.

Length measuring device

A scale for inductive position measurement along a measurement direction X includes a support channel made of electrically conductive material having two interconnected spaced-apart side walls extending parallel to the measurement direction X and enclosing an interstitial space therebetween. A succession of first graduations made of electrically conductive material are disposed on the support channel, located in the interstitial space opposite and spaced from one of the two side walls and extending parallel to the measurement direction X. A succession of second graduations made of electrically conductive material are disposed on the support channel, located in the interstitial space opposite and spaced from the other one of the two side walls and extending parallel to the measurement direction X. The succession of first graduations and the succession of second graduations form a gap configured to receive a scanner operable to inductively scan the first graduations and the second graduations.

Scale and position-measuring device

A mounting device for mounting a length measuring system extending in a measurement direction, the mounting device including a basic body, a steadying device attached to the basic body and a retainer attached to the basic body. A length measuring system that extends in a measurement direction is fixable on the basic body by clamping between the steadying device and the retainer, wherein the basic body and the retainer are embodied for guiding the retainer on the basic body longitudinally in a manner fixed against relative rotation in a direction of the steadying device by an adjusting element.
