There is provided a display assembly for a wearable device, the display assembly comprising: a solar cell layer; and a touch sensor layer, wherein the solar cell layer is arranged above the touch sensor layer, wherein the solar cell layer comprises photovoltaic material arranged at an edge region of the display assembly leaving a uniform central region of the touch sensor layer uncovered.

Display assembly for a wearable device

There is disclosed herein a water tight submersible electronic device, such as a dive computer or a dive watch, comprising a case, a bezel, and glass through which a display can be viewed. The glass, case and bezel can all be different materials. The bezel is affixed to the case, in a permanent or removable manner, and has an opening for the glass and an electronic display. The electronic display is positioned under the glass and within the electronic device. For example, the glass is separated from and locked to the bezel by at least a locking ring, a shock absorber and/or a gasket. As such the glass can be free floating so that it and the bezel can deform under pressure without being damaged or causing damage to each other while maintaining a water tight connection.

Electronic display suitable for submersion

The present invention relates generally to a thin, low thickness snap integrated within or built within a heart rate monitor belt or snap and electrode assebly. The snap can be integrated or built directly in to a heart rate monitor belt. Furthermore, the heart rate monitor belt can be integrated within a textile or garment, for example a compression shirt, sports bra or cycling shorts. The snap can be flushly integrated into the belt or garment such the snap does not take away from the general wearability of the heart rate monitor belt or garment.

An article of wearing apparel provided with a sensor for measuring a physiological signal, and a method for manufacturing the wearing apparel provided with a sensor. The wearing apparel includes a flexible substrate and the sensor includes at least one electrode, which has a signalling surface, and which faces in the same direction as the first surface of the flexible substrate. In addition, the sensor includes a signal transmission conductor, which is connected electrically to the electrode. The signal transmission conductor is attached in a watertight manner to the second surface of the substrate. The wearing apparel is comfortable to the user, and sensor in the wearing apparel is reliable, economical to manufacture, and waterproof.

Wearing apparel with a sensor for measuring a physiological signal

A sensor for measuring a physiological signal and a method for manufacturing such a sensor. Such a sensor includes a flexible substrate and at least one electrode, which has a signalling surface, which faces in the same direction as the first surface of the flexible substrate. The invention relates to a method and a mobile device. In accordance with the method&#x2014;pressure data is measured, the pressure data is used as atmospheric-pressure data and/or for the definition of altitude, and the magnetic field of the Earth is measured by a magnetic sensor (). In accordance with the invention consecutive measurements are performed using the magnetic sensor () and the consecutive measurement results are compared, and on the basis of the comparison the mobile device () is commanded to either atmospheric-pressure measurement or altitude measurement.

Calibration method and apparatus for a mobile device

A method for implementing a weather alarm in an outdoor computer includes defining atmospheric-pressure data repeatedly, defining altitude data repeatedly and essentially simultaneously with the atmospheric-pressure data, with the aid of a satellite positioning system, and converting both measured variables into the same measurement unit, either pressure or altitude. The difference between the converted variables is determined and is stored as a reference value, the difference between the converted variables is repeatedly monitored, and when the difference changes by more than a preset limit-value relative to the reference value, a weather alarm is given.
