A cooler () providing gas blows and comprising at least one cooler module having at least one cooler module () of the cooler () is curved to provide a gas turn module for turning run of the fiber web (W) from its main running direction 80-190&#xb0;. The cooler () includes moisturizing at least one surface of the fiber web. Having a blowing zone () in which gas is blown toward a surface of the fiber web and that the cooler comprises at least one suction zone (), in which the fiber web evaporated moisture is drawn away from the proximity of a surface of the fiber web. There are cooler modules on both sides of the fiber web. The cooler has a gas turn module located inside a curved fiber web run, which provides gas blows toward the curved fiber web during the run.

Production line for producing fiber webs and a cooler

A coating device and method for coating a fiber web for applying coating color onto a fiber web has a nozzle unit with at least one nozzle part (), a feeding chamber () and at least one equalizing chamber ('), a feed hole () between the feeding chamber () and the first equalizing chamber (), and a nozzle slot (&#x2032;) from which the coating color is discharged through the nozzle slot (&#x2032;) outlet opening (). A mixing chamber () between the outlet area of the feed hole () and the equalizing chamber () functions as a means for distributing uniformly the inhomogeneous coating color flow entering the equalizing chamber () from the feed hole (). The coating from the feed hole is directed to a wall () of mixing chambers () which distribute uniformly the coating entering the equalizing chamber ().

Coating device for applying coating color onto a fiber web and method for coating of a fiber web

A device for treating a fiber web, especially a device for applying treatment substance for treating a moving fiber web, has at least one nozzle () comprising a channel () for the treatment substance, a frame part (), a tip or end () of the nozzle () and a treatment substance opening () providing a treatment substance spray, which nozzle () has a tip groove area () adjacent to the treatment substance opening (). The nozzle () has at least one opening next to or at the tip groove area () for providing a cleaning fluid flow comprising gas and/or liquid to the tip groove area.

Device for treating a fiber web

Treatment liquid is sprayed onto a fibrous web surface by one or more spray boxes () having a spray chamber () and spray nozzles () in the travel direction of the fibrous web before a nip (N. . . N; N; N) formed between them by two nip means () provided with a movable surface, and air and/or treatment medium mist is removed from the spray chamber and after having added treatment liquid the fibrous web is pressed in this nip. The spray chamber () is formed between a first spray box () and any successive first nip means () and second nip means (), the fibrous web is guided supported by the surface of the first nip means to the spray chamber and the fibrous web is supported thereon during the spraying of treatment liquid.

Method and apparatus for treating a fibrous web

A coating apparatus, has a nozzle unit () with at least one feeding chamber () extending in the longitudinal direction (W) of the coating apparatus. Coating color is conveyed into the chamber by feeding means (), and a nozzle slot () in flow communication with the said feeding chamber, the slot also extending in the longitudinal direction (W) of the coating apparatus. The flow communication between the at least one feeding chamber () and the nozzle slot () is formed by feed holes () made in one wall of the feeding chamber, through which the coating color can be conveyed to the nozzle slot. The nozzle unit has means () by which the effective area of the feed holes () can be adjusted in order to accomplish transverse profiling of the amount of coating color.
