A photosensitive device that includes a conductive electrode, a dielectric layer, a sensing electrode composed of a two-dimensional layered material, and a photoactive layer which can be configured to absorb electromagnetic radiation. The photosensitive device also includes a single-ended measurement electrode for determining the electric potential of the sensing electrode.

Apparatus and associated methods for touchscreen displays

An apparatus includes a deformable structure in which a neural network comprising a plurality of deformation sensors, e.g. nanowire sensors, and distributed in-situ processing circuits. The circuits generate a signal characterizing features of the local deformation of the structure and/or a command signal corresponding to the detected deformation. The structure may be a wearable sleeve that conforms to deformations of a user's skin, part of an electronic device, such as a touch sensitive screen, or an object in itself. The apparatus can provide a user interface, wherein a command corresponding to a current shape of the structure is generated and acted upon by a integrated or remote device, or a device for monitoring a user's position or movement e.g. for replication by a robotic device. The apparatus may have machine learning capability to improve the matching of commands with determined shapes of the deformable structure.

Detecting touch input and generating perceptible touch stimulus

The invention relates to a mobile electronic system. In order to expand and enhance the usability of the mobile electronic system, it is proposed that it comprises a 3D magnetometerperforming magnetic measurements in three dimensions and providing data indicative of the current posture of the mobile electronic system based on these measurements. Further, it is proposed that the mobile electronic system comprises processing meansprocessing the data provided by the 3D magnetometerfor enabling a posture related presentation of information via output meansof the mobile electronic system. The invention relates equally to components of such a system and to a corresponding method.

Mobile electronic system

The invention relates to an arrangement for sensing ambient conditions in electric equipment. These conditions may include verification of the user, the location of the equipment and various properties of the environment. The invention is preferably applied in mobile terminals. One idea of the invention is to provide a sensor arrangement with a substrate () that forms at least part of a sensor, and also serves as a substrate for other sensors (-). The substrate is preferably flexible so that it can be formed in a shape which is follows the shape of the device cover. The invention also describes a way to create two- or three-dimensional electrode structures that can be used to optimize the performance of the sensor. When the surface structure is designed to follow the shape of a finger, a very small pressure is required when sliding the finger along the sensor surface. This way the use of the sensor is ergonomic and the measurement is made very reliable.

Sensing arrangement

At least one resonator is disclosed having a plurality of nanoscale resonator elements, the at least one resonator having at least two, different resonant frequencies and configured to provide at least two signals in response to an input signal and at least two adders configured to weight the signals with respective weights and to add weighted signals so as to produce an output signal.

Manufacturing of miniaturised three-dimensional electric components are presented, as well as components manufactured by the methods. The manufacturing methods comprise micro-replication of at least one master structure, e.g. via a mould structure, in at least one polymer layer onto which layer at least one conductive path is provided.

Method for manufacturing a miniaturized three-dimensional electric component

A capacitive fingerprint sensor is fabricated on a plastic substrate () with an embedded integrated circuit chip (). The invention describes a way to create two or three dimensional forms for electrode structures () that can be used to optimize the performance of the sensor. When the three dimensional structure is designed to follow the shape of a finger, a very small pressure is required when sliding the finger along the sensor surface. This way the use of the sensor is ergonomic and the measurement is made very reliable. The inventive fabrication method describes the way, how to connect and embed an integrated circuit containing measurement electronics with a batch processed larger scale electrode configuration that is used for capturing the capacitive image of the fingerprint.

Arrangement for authentication of a person

A low-cost breakable inertial threshold sensor using mainly micro-machining silicon technology constructed on a silicon-wafer or on some other brittle material according to the MEMS process. The sensor comprises a first body portion, a second body portion, and detecting means for giving an indication if the second body portion has damaged the detecting means. The status of the sensor can be read in various ways. In one embodiment the status is remotely readable.
