The system includes a motorized axle, a plurality of energy storage devices, and a controller coupled to the motorized axle and the plurality of energy storage devices. The motorized axle may be configured to control one or more wheels connected to the motorized axle. The controller may be configured to control the motorized axle to transfer energy generated by the one or more wheels to the plurality of energy storage devices for storage of the transferred energy. The controller may further be configured to receive data indicative of a driving maneuver of the towing vehicle. The controller may further be configured to control the motorized axle to actuate the one or more wheels based on the driving maneuver of the towing vehicle.

Methods, systems, and devices for controlling a temperature of a battery of a vehicle. The battery management system includes a battery for storing and distributing an electrical charge. The battery management system includes a temperature for measuring or detecting a temperature of the battery. The battery management system includes one or more temperature control devices for controlling the temperature of the battery. The battery management system includes an electronic control unit configured to obtain the temperature of the battery and determine whether the temperature of the battery exceeds an optimal temperature range. The electronic control unit is configured to operate the one or more temperature control devices when the temperature of the battery exceeds the optimal temperature range to adjust the temperature to be within the optimal temperature range.

The system also includes an electronic control unit (ECU) coupled to the on-board charger and to the BMS. The ECU controls the on-board charger to distribute energy to the battery and to the battery heater to cause the SOC to remain above a SOC threshold and to cause the battery temperature to remain above a battery temperature threshold based on the current SOC and the current battery temperature.

A system includes a battery pack designed to store electrical energy at a rated voltage and having a first and second battery module, each having a plurality of battery cells, and at least one switch selectively coupled to the battery modules. The system further includes an on-board charger that receives electrical power. The system further includes an ECU that determines a current voltage of the battery modules. The ECU also controls the at least one switch to transfer the electrical power to a combination of the battery modules until the current voltage of the first battery module or the second battery module reaches the rated voltage. The ECU also controls the at least one switch to transfer the electrical power to the first battery module when the current voltage of the first battery module is less than the current voltage of the second battery module.

The HVAC control system is operable to regulate a temperature of the vehicle interior compartment by increasing or decreasing power to the HVAC system such that the interior compartment is heated or cooled. The HVAC control system is also operable to automatically reduce power to the HVAC system per a predefined reduced power plan prior to the vehicle reaching the destination.
