A method of wireless communication by a device includes detecting whether the device is in an outdoor environment in response to a start of a reevaluation timer. The method also determines a mobility level of the device in response to the start of the reevaluation timer. The method further includes enabling a vehicle-to-everything (VX) pedestrian mode in response to the device being in the outdoor environment and/or the mobility level exceeding a threshold value.

Dynamically enabled vehicle-to-everything (V2X) pedestrian mode for mobile devices

A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium at a transmitting user equipment (UE) in a distributed cellular vehicle-to-everything environment are disclosed to determine a schedule for transmissions on subchannels of multiple frequencies based on a set of UE-specific, dynamic, and performance related metrics or criteria. The metrics may include an estimated number of users on a subchannel, a best-bandwidth fit, channel loading conditions, transmission range, and quality requirements of an application, among others. Such a schedule for transmissions on subchannels of multiple frequencies may result in either an improved capacity utilization, an improved communication quality, or both.

Methods and apparatuses for transmission scheduling on multiple frequencies

Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a limit on a number of resource blocks (RBs) permitted to be used for a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) transmission by the UE; may determine, based at least in part on the limit, one or more parameters for the V2X transmission, wherein the one or more parameters include at least one of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for the V2X transmission, a number of transport blocks (TBs) for the V2X transmission, a number of RBs per TB for the V2X transmission, or a retransmission configuration for the V2X transmission; and may transmit the V2X transmission based at least in part on the one or more parameters. Methods and apparatus for RF channel switching in a multi-frequency network. In an aspect, a method includes identifying a multiplex set that comprises one or more content flows, wherein the multiplex set is one of a vertical multiplex (VM) set and a unified multiplex (UM) set, generating an overhead message that associates one or more RF carrier frequencies with the one or more content flows, and transmitting the overhead message over the multi-frequency network. An apparatus includes input logic configured to receive an overhead message that associates one or more content flows with one or more RF carrier frequencies, and processing logic configured to detect a channel switch event that identifies a selected content flow, determine a selected RF carrier frequency associated with the selected content flow based on the overhead message, and switch to the selected RF carrier frequency to receive the selected content flow.
