A network device supporting TRILL protocol includes a memory, a processor, and a communication interface. The memory includes a lookup table stored therein. The processor is coupled to the memory. The communication interface is coupled to the processor. The communication interface includes a trunk port and an access port and is configured to receive a first packet. When the processor determines that an output port corresponding to a destination address of the first packet is the trunk port, and determines that there is a lack of nickname information corresponding to the destination address according to the look up table, a second packet is transmitted through the trunk port of the communication interface. The second packet includes an enable local bit. The second packet and the first packet include the same payload information.

An A-MSDU sub-frame processing method is provided. The method includes: allocating a first sub-block and a second sub-block adjacent to the first sub-block in a memory when an Ethernet frame is received, wherein the first sub-block includes a block with a preset bit length, the second sub-block includes a block with a bit length corresponding to the Ethernet frame, and a pointer initially points to a first initial address in the second sub-block; sequentially storing header information of the Ethernet frame into the second sub-block according to a header format of the Ethernet frame; filling the first sub-block with length information of the Ethernet frame; shifting the pointer along a first direction to a second initial address whose distance shifted from the first initial address is the preset bit length; and reading out data in a length along a second direction from the second initial address to generate the A-MSDU sub-frame.

A-MSDU subframe processing method and wireless network access device

An access point with capability of dynamically adjusting a present clear channel assessment (CCA) threshold value and an operating method of the access point are disclosed herein. The operating method includes, sensing a channel status through a receiving module, determining whether to transmit data through a transmission module according to the channel status and the present CCA threshold value, calculating a transmission error rate according to the data is successfully transmitted through the transmission module or not, determining a minimum received signal strength indicator (RSSI) value from a plurality of RSSI values corresponding to the workstations to serve as an upper bound of CCA threshold value and dynamically adjusting the present CCA threshold value according to the transmission error rate and the upper bound of CCA threshold value.

A method for automatically establishing a wireless network used in a wireless access point (AP) device is provided. The method comprises the steps outlined below. A first virtual AP unit is activated and operated in a provisional station mode according to a default configuration. The AP device determines whether the wireless AP device is connected to an access controller (AC), if the wireless AP device and the AC are connected, the wireless AP device communicates with the AC to perform a configuring process according to a retrieved configuration to activate a second virtual AP unit. The wireless AP device operates the second virtual AP unit in a configured mode and operates the first virtual AP unit in a provisional AP mode.

The wireless network AP encrypts a network transmission key according to the temporary encryption key to generate an encrypted key. The AP identification information and the encrypted key are transmitted to the wireless network apparatus. A wireless network device and an automatic parameter setting method thereof are provided. The device includes a wireless communication module and an operation module. The wireless communication module is used for transmitting a test signal to a wireless device according to a wireless communication protocol, and receiving an ACK frame transmitted by the wireless device. The operation module is electrically connected to the wireless communication module, and is used for calculating one half of a sum of a minimum transmission time and a maximum transmission time, setting the half of the sum as an ACK timeout interval of the wireless communication module, analyzing whether the ACK frame is obtained within the ACK timeout interval so as to determine whether to use the ACK timeout interval as the maximum transmission time or the minimum transmission time, and recalculating the ACK timeout interval.

A method of controlling a connection of a station to different access points (AP) in roaming, in which the station is connected to a first AP through identification of basic service set context (BSS context), includes the following steps: a) Obtain received signal strength indications (RSSI) between the station and each access point. b) Copy the BSS context of the first AP to a second AP when the RSSI between the station and the first AP is less than RSSI between the station and the second AP; and c) disconnect the station from the first AP, and automatically connect the station to the second AP which has the same BSS context.
