Methods for providing steering assistance for an electromechanical steering system having a redundant control unit with a primary and a secondary control path. Respective primary and secondary control paths each have a computing unit, gate driver module, and power module. The method includes detecting an applied steering torque; calculating a primary and secondary motor target torque in the primary computing unit as a function of the applied steering torque; transmitting the primary motor target torque to a primary motor controller of the primary computing unit; determining primary motor currents to operate a primary electric motor or a primary winding group of the electric motor in the primary motor controller; transferring the secondary motor target torque from the primary computing unit to a secondary motor controller and determining secondary motor currents for operation of a secondary electric motor or a secondary winding group of the electric motor.

Method for providing steering assistance for an electromechanical steering system of a motor vehicle comprising a redundantly designed control device

A device receives Ethernet based tunnelled Internet Protocol (IP) traffic transmitted from a first network node towards a second network node of an IP communications network. The Ethernet based tunnelled IP traffic comprises an Ethernet based tunnelled IP packet that comprises a header and a payload. The header contains a destination Ethernet address and the payload contains an inner user IP header of an inner user IP packet. An Ethernet Switch modifies the destination Ethernet address contained in the header of the Ethernet based tunnelled IP packet based on the inner user IP header. One PU is selected, from the plurality of PUs, for traffic analysis of a data session comprising the Ethernet based tunnelled IP traffic. The Ethernet based tunnelled IP packet is to be redirected to the selected PU in accordance with the modified destination Ethernet address.

Load distribution architecture for processing tunnelled internet protocol traffic

The present disclosure relates to a technique of redirecting Ethernet based tunnelled Internet Protocol ('IP') traffic in an IP communications network, wherein the Ethernet based tunnelled IP traffic is transmitted from a first network nodeto a second network nodeof the IP communications network. A method embodiment comprises the steps of: receiving, by a devicefor redirecting the Ethernet based tunnelled IP traffic, an Ethernet based tunnelled IP packet transmitted from the first network node, the Ethernet based tunnelled IP packet including a header and a payload, the header containing a destination Ethernet address and the payload containing an inner user IP header of an inner user IP packet; modifying, by the devicethe destination Ethernet address contained in the header of the Ethernet based tunnelled IP packet on the basis of the inner user IP header; and selecting, by the device, a Processing Unit ('PU')for traffic analysis from a plurality of PUsOz for redirecting the Ethernet based tunnelled IP packet to the selected PUin accordance with the modified destination Ethernet address.

A method, a device and a system are provided for monitoring Location-based Service of a mobile telecommunications network. A passive monitoring method is applied processing both positioning and Location-based Service information of different interfaces. In the system, a monitoring device is attached at the standard interfaces of the network calculating Key Performance indicators and/or measures of network usage from the combined information. In a preferred embodiment, traffic of Le and Gi interfaces () of a 3GPP GPRS network () are monitored, however the invention can be applied to both circuit-switched and packet-switched telecommunications network supporting positioning.

Performance monitoring of location-based service in a mobile telecommunications network

To provide a solution for efficient and large-scale characterization of push-to-talk service performance in a mobile communication environment there is described a method and apparatus for passive evaluation of push-to-talk traffic in a communication network. After capturing (S) data transactions in the communication network there follows a step of extracting (S) interpretations of data transactions being relevant for push-to-talk, traffic classes, and users, from captured data transactions. Then a correlation of extracted interpretations of data transactions being relevant for push-to-talk, traffic classes, and users is stored (S) in a traffic data base. This allows to calculate (S) at least one performance indicator with respect to at least one selected push-to-talk session as a function of information stored in the traffic database.
