A scroll fluid machine includes fixed and orbiting scrolls which define a compression chamber; a land which divides the compression chamber into first-stage and second-stage compression chambers; a wrap groove defined in a spiral shape along a tip of a fixed wrap of the fixed scroll; an intermediate groove defined in the land; a seal member; and an intermediate seal member. The land includes a first-stage outlet in communication with the first-stage compression chamber and a second-stage inlet in communication with the second-stage compression chamber. The wrap groove includes an outer peripheral wrap groove adjacent to the land on a radially outward side and an inner peripheral wrap groove adjacent to the land on a radially inward side. The intermediate groove is in communication with the outer and inner peripheral wrap grooves. The seal member is fitted in the wrap groove except the outer and inner wrap grooves.

Scroll fluid machine having tip seal member separated into different portions

A scroll expander includes a driving scroll body having a first axis line a driven scroll body having a second axis line shifted with respect to the first axis line, a bearing plate including two plates coupled to the driven scroll body and having the second axis line a cylindrical driving pin attached to the driving scroll body, and a cylindrical guide ring attached to the bearing plate and having an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the driving pin. The driving pin includes an outer circumferential surface in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the guide ring. A hard film including diamond-like carbon is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the driving pin. The inner circumferential surface of the guide ring includes a polymer resin material with self-lubricity.

Scroll expander

A scroll expander includes: a driving scroll body having a first axis line as a rotary shaft line; a driven scroll body having, as a rotary shaft, a second axis line shifted with respect to the first axis line; a bearing plate having the second axis line as a rotary shaft; a cylindrical driving pin attached to the driving scroll body; and a cylindrical guide ring attached to the bearing plate and having an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the driving pin. Four driving pins are disposed on the circumference of a circle around the first axis line at an equal interval. Four guide rings are disposed on the circumference of a circle around the second axis line at the equal interval so as to correspond to the four driving pins.

A seal groove is cut in the distal end face of a wrap of a fixed scroll, with a tip seal being fitted in the seal groove. Swelling members are interposed between both side faces of the tip seal and corresponding opposite side faces of the wrap. Condensed liquid of working medium w and water condensed from steam contained in the working medium w that are present between the tip seal and an end plate provide a sealing effect. When the swelling members swell upon absorbing the condensed liquids, they exert a strong pressing force on the tip seal and the wrap, thereby firmly retaining the tip seal in position. This prevents the tip seal from being pressed against the end plate, so that wear of the tip seal is reduced.

Provided is a power generating apparatus including an evaporator configured to evaporate a working medium with a heating medium supplied from the outside of a working medium flow path, an expander to which a driven machine is connected and which is configured to convert expansion force of the evaporated working medium into rotational force to drive the driven machine, a condensing mechanism configured to condense the working medium discharged from the expander with a cooling medium supplied from the outside of the working medium flow path, the condensing mechanism having at least one heat exchanger pipe through which the working medium flows, a cooling water sprayer configured to spray cooling water as the cooling medium over the surface of one or a plurality of heat exchanger pipes of the at least one heat exchanger pipe, and a cooling fan configured to blow ambient air over the one or a plurality of heat exchanger pipes to evaporate cooling water attached to the surface of the one or a plurality of heat exchanger pipes, and a circulating pump configured to pressurize and supply the condensed working medium to the evaporator.

Power generating apparatus and method of operating power generating apparatus

In a double rotation type scroll expander having double expansion chambers, a single integrated drive shaft is disposed to penetrate the interior of a housing, the double expansion chambers are formed by a drive scroll body and a driven scroll body, and a working medium introduction hole is provided in an axial direction of the drive shaft such that the working medium is supplied evenly to the double expansion chambers through the working medium introduction hole via a radial direction hole. The drive shaft and the drive scroll body formed integrally with the drive shaft rotate while the driven scroll body rotates synchronously with the drive scroll shaft via an interlocking mechanism.

Provided is a double rotation type scroll expander, aiming at protecting a bearing that supports drive shaft a drive shaft and the like from the heat of a working medium when a working medium introduction hole is provided in the drive shaft. The working medium introduction hole is drilled into the drive shaft such that the high-temperature, high-pressure working medium is supplied to expansion chambers through the working medium introduction hole. An adiabatic sleeve that forms a part of the working medium introduction hole is attached to the drive shaft in an internal region of roller bearings that support the drive shaft and a driven scroll body rotatably. Heat transfer from the working medium to the roller bearings is suppressed by the adiabatic sleeve, whereby the roller bearings are prevented from deteriorating.

A double rotation type scroll expander that expands steam includes a first drive scroll, a second drive scroll, a driven scroll, a rotation mechanism that supports the driven scroll rotatably, and a revolving mechanism that couples the driven scroll to the first drive scroll and the second drive scroll to be capable of revolving relative thereto. The revolving mechanism includes: a plurality of metal revolving pins provided respectively between a first drive end plate of the first drive scroll and a first driven arm of the rotation mechanism and between a second drive end plate of the second drive scroll and a second driven arm of the rotation mechanism; and a plurality of metal revolving discs provided in relation to the respective revolving pins and disposed such that respectively corresponding revolving pins are coupled thereto eccentrically.

Double rotation type scroll expander and power generation apparatus including same

A waste heat utilization device for an air compressor includes: a discharge path of an oil free air compressor; a circulation path along which a low boiling point medium circulates; an evaporator provided on the circulation path to heat and evaporate the low boiling point medium using the potential heat of the compressed air; and a preheater provided on an upstream side of the evaporator to preheat the low boiling point medium using the potential heat of the compressed air. A scroll type expansion machine is rotated by the low boiling point medium evaporated by the evaporator and increased in pressure, and power is generated by a power generator connected to a rotary shaft of the scroll type expansion machine. The low boiling point medium discharged from the scroll type expansion machine is then cooled and condensed by a condenser.

Waste heat utilizing device for air compressor

The rotating shaft is connected to the generator; the high-pressure steam s is introduced to the expansion chamber b through the guide passage; when the energy of the high-pressure steam s during expansion process revolves the revolving scroll, the generator regenerates electric power. The connecting housing is provided with the inlet opening and the outlet opening; the ventilation blades are fitted to the rotating shaft. When the ventilation blades rotate, the outside air is introduced (inside of the housing) from and through the inlet opening; the air passes by the air opening and the backside of the revolving scroll, and is discharged through the outlet opening. Thus, by the approach that the air passage is formed inside of the connecting housing and the scroll housing, the high-pressure steam s is prevented from being directed toward the backside of the revolving scroll.

A sealing device includes a stationary member, an orbiting member, a tip end surface of which slides on an inner face of the stationary member, and a sealing member to be fitted into a sealing groove engraved on the tip end surface. A sliding contact surface of the sealing member is pressed onto an inner surface of the stationary member with a predetermined force to slide on the inner surface in order that fluid sealing is secured between the sliding contact surface of the sealing member and the inner surface of the stationary member. The sealing member is divided into two parts of an upper ring and a lower ring, with the upper ring contacting the sliding contact surface and the lower ring facing a bottom surface of the sealing groove.

In an acoustic resonator, an actuator allows a piston to reciprocate axially at very small amplitude at high speed. Owing to pressure fluctuation in the acoustic resonator involved by reciprocal motion of the piston, fluid is sucked into and discharged from the acoustic resonator via a valve device at the top end of the acoustic resonator. The acoustic resonator is covered with a gas guide with a space. The valve device is cooled by a fan at the top end of the gas guide.

Acoustic fluid machine

A resonator of an acoustic compressor is provided at each side of an actuator so that the two resonators are arranged side by side. Two pistons are provided at the inner ends of the resonators and actuated by the actuator. At the outer end of the each of the resonators, a gas is introduced into the resonator through a suction hole. When the pistons are actuated by the actuator, the gases in the two resonators are oscillated and compressed by the piston and discharged through discharge holes at the outer ends of the resonators.

A piston is reciprocated axially at high speed at very small amplitude by an actuator in the larger-diameter base of an acoustic resonator. According to pressure fluctuation in the acoustic resonator involved by reciprocal motion of the piston, fluid is sucked into and discharged from the acoustic resonator via a valve device at the top end of the acoustic resonator. The acoustic resonator is contained in a gas guide. Fluid from the valve device is introduced into the gas guide to cool the valve device.

A scroll fluid machine includes an orbiting scroll which has an orbiting end plate. The orbiting end plate has a plurality of extensions on the outer circumference. Each of the extensions has a boss in which a self-rotation-preventing eccentric shaft is pivotally supported. The extension has an easily-deformable portion to keep exact positional relationship between the extensions or to the center of the orbiting end plate of the extension.
