A nebulizer comprising a housing having a liquid reservoir at a lower portion thereof and an atomizer space and an atomized liquid discharge port both communicating with the liquid reservoir at an upper portion thereof, a compressed air introduction pipe formed with a nozzle at an end thereof and a liquid suction pipe for sucking liquid in the liquid reservoir, both pipes being provided at a lower portion of the housing, wherein said liquid suction pipe is removably fitted to said compressed air introduction pipe, and a gap between said compressed air introduction pipe and said liquid suction pipe is used as a liquid suction passage.

Nebulizer

This device measures the level of a certain chemical in a liquid infiltrated into a piece of test paper impregnated with a test chemical the optical properties of which alter according to the level of the certain chemical. It includes: a test paper holder, provided in a test paper insertion unit provided in a casing; a device for emitting light and a device for sensing light, both provided to oppose a piece of test paper held by the holder; a cover, slidably mounted to the casing, for selectably covering over the insertion unit; a device for biasing this cover in one direction; a device for engaging this cover in an extreme position in the opposite direction; and a device for releasing the engagement of the engaging device. This engagement releasing device may be a press button provided to the casing; and the sliding direction of the cover may be its opening direction of movement, or alternatively may be its closing direction of movement. Alternatively, this device may include a device for emitting light and a device for sensing light, both provided to oppose a piece of test paper, and a switch for selecting between an action mode for executing a measurement action and at least one other mode for performing some other function, these modes being switched between every time this mode selection switch is actuated. Optionally, at least three such modes may be switched between in a cyclical sequence. The mode selection switch may include a mode selection button.

Chemical level measurement device with easy action cover and single

An electronic thermometer includes a temperature sensing assembly incorporating a temperature sensor element, and a measuring and processing unit for determining and displaying the temperature, wherein the temperature sensing assembly and the measuring and processing unit are physically separable from each other. The temperature sensing assembly includes a code for recording information of the temperature characteristic or the like of the incorporated temperature sensor element. With the aid of the code, the measuring and processing unit is capable of correcting nonuniformity in the characteristic of the mutually exchangeable temperature sensing assemblies, to thereby assure a correct reading.

Electric thermometer

The thermometer includes an oscillation unit having a time constant circuit with a compound resistor including a reference resistor and a temperature sensitive resistor. The compound resistor is switched between the reference and temperature sensitive resistors. A comparator compares the oscillation frequencies of the oscillation unit by switching over the compound resistor between the reference and temperature sensitive resistors at a variable sampling interval, and outputs digital data corresponding to the temperature sensed by the temperature sensitive resistor. The digital data corresponding to the sensed temperature are converted and displayed on a temperature data display unit. The resistive value of the reference resistor and the sampling time are switchable according to the range of temperature measurement. The temperature data conversion unit has several sections which are switchably selected according to particular ranges of temperature measurement. Each of these temperature data sections, upon receipt of the digital data from the comparison unit, outputs appropriate temperature data according thereto. A switching unit switches between the various sections of the temperature data conversion unit. A switching control device, in response to the output of the temperature data conversion unit, determines the range of temperature measurement, and appropriately controls the switching actions of the reference resistor, the sampling time switching unit, and the temperature data conversion means switching unit.

Electronic thermometer with multi range measurement capability

An electronic thermometer of the present invention includes: a temperature sensor for sensing temperature and outputting a digital signal value representative thereof; a temperature conversion data storage unit having at least a first data storage area for storing temperature conversion data of relatively high resolution and a second data storage area for storing temperature conversion data of relatively low resolution; a read-out element for, when the digital signal produced by the temperature sensor is within a first range, reading-out corresponding temperature conversion data from the first data storage area according to the value of the digital signal, and, when the digital signal, produced by the temperature sensor is within second range, reading out corresponding temperature conversion data from the second data storage area according to a selected value of the digital signal, and a display for displaying a temperature corresponding to the temperature conversion data. Whereby, when the temperature is in the first range, high resolutions and high accuracy of indication can be obtained while when the temperature is in the second range, low resolution which may be quite acceptable may be attained. Thereby, the capacity of the temperature conversion data storage unit may be more economically effectively utilized.

Digital thermometer with varying resolution

The electronic thermometer comprises a temperature sensor which senses the temperature of an object, a prediction temperature computing apparatus for deriving a converged temperature according to the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor, apparatus for providing a range of error associated with the predicted converged temperature computed by the prediction temperature computing apparatus, and a display for displaying the range of error.

There is provided a blood cell identification and classification system including a photographing means for producing magnified images of cells in blood smears and generating video signals and an automatic analytical means for analyzing cells based on said video signals, characterized in that said system comprises: a video recording means for recording on a collective basis the magnified images of unknown cells which could not be analyzed by said automatic analytical means in conjunction with identification data for smears to which said unknown cells pertain, a video reproduction means for reproducing the magnified images of unknown cells and identification data so recorded, and an input means for entering analytical data derived from the magnified images of unknown cells so reproduced.
