A thermoplastic resin composition comprising (A) 5 to 90 parts of a vinyl chloride polymer, (B) 90 to 50 parts of an ABS resin and (C) 70 to 5 parts of wood flour, the total amount of the component (A), (B) and (C) being 100 parts. The composition has functions and appearance peculiar to wood, excellent moldability and secondary processability and extremely improved heat distortion resistance.

A side mold to be fixed onto a side of automobile body, comprising (A) a hard mold portion forming an outside main portion and (B) a soft mold portion forming an inner foot portion to be contacted with the side of automobile body; the hard mold portion being made of a blend of (a-1) a vinyl chloride polymer and (a-2) an ABS resin comprising a copolymer (i) of .alpha.-methylstyrene, styrene, acrylonitrile and methyl methacrylate and a graft-polymer (ii) in which at least one component of the copolymer is graft-polymerized onto a butadiene rubber; and the soft mold portion being made of a plasticized polyvinyl chloride and having a JIS-A hardness of 50.degree. to 90.degree.. The side mold is light even if the side mold is made large, and has sufficient strength, surface hardness and shock observer effect.

Side mold for an automobile

A postchlorinated polyvinyl chloride composition having high processability for preparing molded products of outstanding properties comprises postchlorinated polyvinyl chloride and a copolymer of methyl methacrylate and a styrene monomer blended with the chloride. The composition has good thermal fluidity with good releasability from metal surface in processing and gives molded products of a high softening point and outstanding transparency.

Heat-resistant CPVC resin composition

A polyvinyl chloride composition having improved processability, high clarity, and high heat distortion temperature is prepared by blending (I) 99 to 30 parts by weight of polyvinyl chloride or vinyl chloride copolymer having at least 80 weight percent vinyl chloride; and (II) 1 to 70 parts by weight of a polymer which is obtained by polymerizing 1 to 30 weight percent of a mixture (B) comprising 40 to 80 weight percent styrene monomer and 60 to 20 weight percent alkyl ester of acrylic acid or alkyl ester of methacrylic acid, in the presence of 99 to 70 weight percent methyl methacrylate polymer (A) or copolymer (A) having more than 75 weight percent methyl methacrylate and less than 25 weight percent styrene monomer, the polymer (A) or copolymer (A) having a specific viscosity of less than 0.6.
