A method for manufacturing a blood pressure measurement cuff includes preparing an outer cloth, preparing an inner cloth, and forming a bag-shaped portion. The bag-shaped portion has an opening on a peripheral edge of the bag-shaped portion. A curler is inserted into the bag-shaped portion through the opening, the curler being flexible and configured to curve and conform to the measurement site. An air bladder is formed by welding the opening of the bag-shaped portion such that the air bladder surrounds an inner side and an outer side of the curler thereby containing the curler. The outer cloth is attached to an outer surface on a first side of the air bladder configured to be opposite to the measurement site, and the inner cloth is attached to an outer surface on a second side of the air bladder configured to be towards the measurement site.

Blood pressure measurement cuff and method for manufacturing blood pressure measurement cuff

A blood pressure measurement cuff is a blood pressure measurement cuff to be attached such that it wraps around a measurement site and includes: a curler that is flexible and curves so as to naturally conform to the measurement site; an air bladder containing the curler due to being wrapped around the inner side and outer side of the curler; an inner cloth attached to an outer surface on the measurement site side of the air bladder; and an outer cloth attached to an outer surface on the side opposite to the measurement site of the air bladder.

In a method of producing a cuff of a sphygmomanometer having an automatic cuff winding mechanism, the cuff includes a band-shaped fluid bladder forming a cavity for inserting a user's arm therein, a shape maintenance member wound on the band-shaped fluid bladder, a band-shaped bag wound on the shape maintenance member, and a cylindrical elastic plate housed in the band-shaped bag. The method includes winding the band-shaped fluid bladder on an outer circumferential surface of a cylindrical jig having approximately the same outer diameter as the cavity of the band-shaped fluid bladder, winding the shape maintenance member on an outer circumferential surface of the band-shaped fluid bladder, winding the band-shaped bag on an outer circumferential surface of the shape maintenance member, removing the cylindrical jig from the band-shaped fluid bladder, and housing the cylindrical elastic plate inside the band-shaped bag.

Method of producing cuff of sphygmomanometer having automatic cuff winding mechanism

An electronic sphygmomanometer acquires a patient ID and recommended site information read from an ID card before measurement. The recommended site indicating the site to be attached to a cuff of a left site or a right site is thereby specified for every person to be measured (patient ID). Thereafter, the site to be attached to the cuff is guided by notifying the specified recommended site to the person to be measured.

In a sphygmomanometer, an elbow detection mechanism that detects the placement of a measurement subject's elbow is provided in a portion of a cuff unit above a rotation axis. Because the elbow detection mechanism is provided in the portion of the cuff unit above the rotation axis on the biological member (upper arm) exit side, the distance L between the elbow detection mechanism and the biological member (upper arm) exit of the cuff unit can be kept constant even when the cuff unit rotates. This enables providing a sphygmomanometer that has a mechanism for changing the inclination angle of the cuff unit relative to a base and includes a mechanism for achieving a constant distance between the elbow detection mechanism and the entrance of the cuff unit regardless of the inclination angle of the cuff unit.

A body composition measuring apparatus includes a right hand grip having electrodes to be contacted with the right hand of a subject, and a left hand grip having electrodes to be contacted with the left hand of the subject. The right hand grip and the left hand grip are disposed such that their respective axis lines overlap with each other on the same straight line. The left hand grip is coupled to the right hand grip in a freely movable manner such that the left hand grip can move in the axis line direction. This configuration allows a small-sized body composition measuring apparatus suitable for carrying along to be achieved.
