In a lens for safety glasses of the present invention, a first lens element which shields a laser beam is laid on a second lens element for antiglare. The first and the second lens element may be affixed together. In the lens for safety glasses, the first lens element includes a substrate which contains an absorbent for selectively absorbing a laser beam having a specific wavelength in an ultraviolet wavelength region, a visible light wavelength region or an infrared wavelength legion and is transparent in the visible light wavelength region. The safety glasses with the lens may provide comfortable fit and a good appearance, causes less misjudgment of colors and prevents loss of correct color sense, and has both a laser-beam shielding function and an antiglare function.

A polarizing molded article, which includes a polarizing plate-containing laminated structure. The laminated structure includes a polarizing sheet layer that is held between two protective sheet layers. One of the two protective sheet layers is connected to a polyurethane sheet layer or a polyamide sheet layer with an adhesive or a pressure-sensitive adhesive. A thermally molded resin layer is thermally adhered to the polyurethane sheet layer or the polyamide sheet layer.

There is provided a method for continuously manufacturing an optical article which comprises a first step of thermal press-molding a sheet-like curved body and a second step of insert injection-molding a back resin on a concave side of the sheet-like curved body, while transferring the continuous sheet in a longitudinal direction, using an apparatus for manufacturing an optical article in which a press-molding machine which can thermal press-mold the sheet-like curved body and an insert injection-molding machine equipped with a mold having a curvature similar to that of the sheet-like curved body are serially positioned in this order, wherein a cycle of thermal press-molding and a cycle of insert injection-molding are synchronized to continuously insert-mold the back resin on a concave side of the sheet-like curved body while continuously thermal press-molding the sheet-like curved body.

Method for continuously manufacturing optical article

Swimming goggles include goggle frames and associated goggle lenses. Each goggle lens has an outer composing layer and an inner composing layer which is unified with the associated goggle frame. The inner composing layer is welded together to an inside face of the outer composing layer. The goggle frame is welded together to a peripheral side face of the outer composing layer. In this way, the goggle frame and the associated goggle lens are unified together. The swimming goggles are free from water penetration between the goggle frames and the goggle lenses, and allow a high productivity and a low incidence of defected products.

Eye glasses

Goggles include an inner lens plate, an intermediate lens plate and an outer lens plate. A space between the inner and intermediate lens plates and a space between the intermediate and outer lens plates form heat-insulating layers. The intermediate lens plate has a through hole and at least one of the inner and outer lens plates has a vent hole. The vent hole is covered with a moisture blocking member which prevents moisture from passing and allows air to pass.

Goggles

A polarizing optical composite equipped with a polarizing plate holding a polarizer sheet layer between two protective sheet layers, wherein the polarizing sheet layer has on one side thereof at least two layers, in a body, constructed of materials different each other. The polarizing optical composite has high impact resistance and high degree of polarization, and is used as, for example, goggles, sunglasses, and spectacles, which have high impact resistance, has more safety, and can prevent dazzling light.

Eyecup

The present invention relates to goggles for use in swimming, skiing, motorcycling and other activities. The goggles comprise a pair of right and left eyecups, a connecting member interconnecting opposing inner ends of the eyecups, and an elastic band having opposite ends each connected to an outer end of each of the eyecups, wherein the eyecups are each provided with a mount portion which defines a plurality of engagement holes aligned longitudinally of the eyecups, and the connecting member is removably fitted into one of the plurality of engagement holes of each mount portion.

Swimming goggle comprises a right eyepiece, a left eyepiece, a flexible connecting strap having opposite ends detachably connected to the respective inner ends of the right and the left eyepiece to interconnect the right and the left eyepiece so that the effective length thereof corresponding to the distance between the right and the left eyepiece is adjustable, and each provided with a plurality of engaging portions, and an elastic band having opposite ends connected to band buckles capable of being detachably connected to the respective outer ends of the right and the left eyepiece, respectively. Each of the right and the left eyepiece is provided integrally with an inwardly extending, rectangular connecting frame having an aperture for receiving one end of the connecting strap therethrough and a catching portion that engages one of the plurality of engaging portions of the connecting strap, and an elastically bendable holding tongue for preventing the engaging portion of the connecting strap engaging the catching portion of the connecting frame from being disengaged from the catching portion of the connecting frame projects toward the front from the inner end of each eyepiece into the aperture of the connecting frame so as to form a space through which the connecting strap extends.
