A vehicle-mounted image record system for ensuring safe driving of a vehicle by recording images of a portion of the vehicle and a surface of a road in the vicinity of the vehicle so as to monitor the driving habits of a driver. The system includes one or more cameras mounted at suitable positions on the vehicle and a recording device for recording the images captured by the cameras. The captured and recorded images include a portion of the vehicle and part of the surface of the road on which the vehicle is driving so as to serve as proof of safe driving in the event of an accident. The system also includes a display for displaying the captured images so that the driver of the car can see objects forward or reverse of the vehicle.

A tape player includes a changeover mechanism for shifting the position of a tape travel direction changeover member in response to the reciprocating movement of a rewind pushbutton actuator, a head channel selector switch connected to the changeover mechanism via a resilient connecting mechanism and shiftable in response to the shifting operation of the changeover mechanism, silence detecting for detecting a blank interval between recordings on a magnetic tape and producing a silence interval detection signal upon detection of the blank interval, a latch mechanism for releasably holding the rewind pushbutton actuator in its advanced position, the latch mechanism being responsive to the silence interval detection signal for releasing the rewind pushbutton actuator, and blocking member for blocking the shifting operation of the head channel selector switch during the forward movement of the rewind pushbutton actuator.

Tape player

A cassette tape player having a quick traverse lever and a rewinding lever, each mounted on a chassis of the player so as to be movable forward or rearward in a reciprocating manner in a longitudinal direction of the chassis. The quick traverse lever moves forward so as to move a head plate rightward in order to perform a quick traverse operation of a tape of the player, the head plate being mounted on the chassis so as to be slidable rightward or leftward along the chassis. The cassette tape player further includes an actuating mechanism for effecting a change in the travel direction of the tape, the actuating mechanism being swingably mounted on the chassis, while being movable forward or rearward in the longitudinal direction of the chassis. The cassette player further includes a spring mounted on the chassis for urging the actuating mechanism rearward and for biasing the actuating mechanism counterclockwise in its normal condition.

Cassette tape player having an actuating mechanism for changing

A radio receiving circuit provided with a search tuning mechanism. A broadcasting radiowave signal is received during a search tuning operation, and a shift amount of frequency produced in frequency of an intermediate frequency amplifier output is experimentally determined within an inertia self-travelling time interval search tuning mechanism due to the mechanical inertia thereof from the moment at which a drive force applied to the search tuning mechanism is interrupted to the time when the mechanism temporarily positively stops its function. The drive force applied to the search tuning mechanism is interrupted at a frequency deviated by the shift amount in advance from a center frequency of a pass band width of the intermediate frequency amplifier circuit, whereby after the mechanism has self-travelled due to its own mechanical inertia force and when tuned to the center frequency of the received radiowave signal, the search tuning operation is suspended.

Radio receiving circuit with a search tuning mechanism

Disclosed is a push-button tuner in which two desired preset broadcasting frequencies can be tuned in by one push-button. The push-button tuner comprises a plurality of tuning mechanisms each constituted by an operation shaft, and a pair of tuning shafts disposed on the opposite sides of the operation shaft. These operation shaft and tuning shafts are supported movably between the front non-actuation position and the rear actuation position, the operating shaft being provided with a drive gear, a change-over mechanism for alternatively alternately causing the pair of tuning pieces to move relative to the operation shaft to the rear actuation position every one reciprocation of the operation shaft between the front non-actuation position and the rear actuation position, and an enlarging mechanism for enlarging the amount of moving stroke of the operation shaft member and for transmitting the enlarged amount of moving stroke to one of the tuning member which is in its movable state. Each of the tuning shafts includes a driven gear which engages with the drive gear when the tuning shaft is moved to the front non-actuation position, and a tuning piece which is axially movable in response to the rotation of the tuning shaft. The tuning piece selects the frequency of the variable element in response to the axial movement of the tuning shaft.

Push-button tuner

An improved push button type tuner is disclosed which assures that an operator can selectively tune to one of two preset radio frequencies merely by actuating a single push button. The push button type tuner includes a plurality of channel selecting mechanisms each of which comprises an actuating shaft with a push button fixedly secured thereto and two channel selecting shafts disposed by both the sides of the actuating shaft. The actuating shaft and the channel selecting shafts are supported so as to move between the fore inoperative position and the rear operative position. The actuating shaft includes a main gear and a shifting lever which performs shifting operation in such a manner that the pair of channel selecting shafts are alternately displaced to the rear operative position at every time when a cycle of foreward and rearward movements of the actuating shaft between the fore inoperative position and the rear operative position is achieved. Each of the channel selecting shafts includes a follower gear adapted to mesh with the main gear when the it is displaced to the rear operative position and a channel selecting dog mounted thereon to move in the axial direction as it is rotated. The channel selecting dog serves to select a frequency of the variable tuning device as the channel selecting shaft is displaced in the axial direction.

Push button type tuner

Disclosed is a push-button tuner having a plurality of push-buttons which are preset so as to tune in to preset frequencies of broadcasting stations, in which an actuator plate for setting the positions of variable tuning elements by depressing the push-buttons is divided into a plurality of actuator plate components and the variable tuning elements are allotted to the actuator plate components, the push-buttons being grouped corresponding to the actuator plate components, thereby reducing the actuator plate in size as well as in weight so that it is possible to tune in to the frequency of a desired broadcasting station with a light pressing force.

A push-button tuner in which two desired preset broadcasting station frequencies can be selectively tuned in by one push-button comprises a plurality of tuning mechanisms, each of which comprises an operation shaft having a push-button, a pair of tuning shafts respectively disposed on the opposite sides of the operation shaft, and a change-over mechanism for effecting a change-over operation so as to cause the operation member to engage with alternate ones of the pair tuning members in response to alternate reciprocations of the operation member. The push-button tuner comprises a lock plate for holding the tuning shaft in the rear actuation position when it is located in the rear actuation position, and a restriction device for preventing the operation shaft from being urged further rearward when the tuning shaft is held by the lock plate thereby preventing excessive force from being applied to the change-over mechanism.

A pushbutton tuner has a plurality of pushbutton actuators each comprised of a slide plate carried by a support plate for movement between operative and inoperative positions, a lockable control plate pivotally mounted on the slide plate, and a pair of upright pins fixedly mounted on the control plate. A pair of movable plates are carried by the support plate so as to be movable across the array of slide plates and both movable plates are formed with cam edges adapted to engage one of the upright pins of the pair as the slide plate moves to its operative position. The pair of movable plates are connected at one end to first and second link members which cause the movable plates to move in opposite directions in response to the engagement of respective ones of the upright pins with respective ones of the cam edges of the movable plates. When both upright pins simultaneously engage the cam edges, the movable plates cease to move and a component of force acts on each point of engagement between the pins and the cam edges to prevent further movement of the movable plates to thereby define preset tuning frequencies. A variable tuning element has a pair of movable members connected to the first and second link members such that when one movable member ceases to move, forces acting in the same direction are applied to the pair of movable members to thereby transmit forces acting in opposite directions to the variable tuning element. Such a construction enables smooth movement of the actuators in response to a pushing force of reduced magnitude and eliminates mechanical rattling at the pivotal connection points of the parts.

Pushbutton tuner

A pushbutton tuner includes a plurality of pushbutton actuators each effective to achieve a tuning to a desired preset frequency. Each pushbutton actuator includes a slide plate carried by a support plate so as to be movable between operative and inoperative positions, a lockable control plate pivotally mounted on the slide plate, a pair of upright pins fixedly mounted on the control plate, and a pair of cam members having their one end pivotally mounted on the support plate so that one of the upright pins engages one of the cam members as the slide plate moves to its operative position. A pair of movable plates are carried by the support plate so as to be movable across the slide plates. One of the movable plates is pivotally connected with the other end of one of the cam members while the other movable plate is pivotally connected with the other end of the other cam member. The pair of movable plates are interconnected by a link member which causes one of the movable plates to move in the opposite direction whenever the other movable plate moves in one direction in response to engagement of one upright pin with one of the cam members to cause angular movement thereof. When the other movable plate moves in the opposite direction from the movement of the one movable plate, the other cam member angularly moves in the opposite direction from that of the one cam member until it engages the other upright pin. When both upright pins engage the cam members, the cam members cease to rotate and a component of force acts at the points of engagement between the pins and the cam members in a direction to effectively prevent further rotation of the cam members. The position of the movable plates when further rotation of the cam members is prevented corresponds to the preset frequency.

A pushbutton tuner including a support plate, tuning means mounted on the support so as to be movable to a position which corresponds to a tuning frequency to be established, and a plurality of presettable pushbutton actuators for selectively adjusting the tuning means to individual positions, each of the pushbutton actuators including a pushbutton which is movable between a front inoperative and a rear operative position relative to the support plate and which is normally urged to its inoperative position, a control plate pivotally mounted on the support plate and having lengthwise elongate slots formed in its opposite ends, the control plate assuming a position relative to the support plate which can be adjusted, a preset plate for releasably locking the control plate on the support plate, a first operating lever having its one end pivotally mounted on the pushbutton and carrying a pin on its other end which is fitted into one of the slots in the control plate, and a second operating lever having its one end pivotally mounted on the pushbutton and carrying a pin on its other end which is fitted in the other slot formed in the control plate, the tuning means including a pair of movable plates extending in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the pushbutton, a link bar having its opposite ends connected to the movable plates so that a movement of one of the movable plate in one direction causes a movement of the other movable plate in the opposite direction, and cam edges formed on the pair of movable plates and having an equal angular orientation, said one movable plate moving in one direction upon abutment of one of the pins against the cam edges of said one movable plate as it moves through the elongate slot formed in the control plate, the movement of said one movable plate being transmitted through the link bar to cause the other movable plate to move in the opposite direction until the other pin abuts against the other cam edge, whereupon a further movement of said other movable plate is interrupted.

A channel-selecting, presettable, rotary type tuning device in which there is provided a tuning-position-determining unit having two or more tuning-position-determining elements, whose positions may be adjustable; a slide member operably coupled to a variable tuning element and spring-loaded so as to abut the end of each tuning-position-determining element selected due to the rotation of the tuning-position-determining unit; means for rotating the tuning-position-determining unit so as to select a tuning-position-determining element; means for moving back and forth each tuning-position-determining-element thus selected; and means for temporarily releasing the slide member from its abutment on each tuning-position-determining element thus selected.

Channel-selecting, presettable, rotary type tuning device

A dual band pushbutton tuner is disclosed having a pair of tuning slide assemblies disposed on the opposite sides of a pushbutton slide and which can be selectively actuated in conjunction with an operation of the pushbutton slide, without using a shuttle. Each of the tuning slide assemblies is normally connected with the pushbutton slide through connection means, which is constructed such that when one of the tuning slide assemblies is constrained by constraining means, the other tuning slide assembly is permitted to move in response to an operation of the pushbutton slide. The pair of tuning slide assemblies alternately assume this manner of operation as the constraining means is switched.

Dual band pushbutton tuner

This invention relates to a cassette tape player comprising a fixed frame and a movable frame which is slidable with respect to said fixed frame in such a manner as that of a drawer. The fixed frame is provided with such electric systems as a motor and magnetic head; said movable frame is provided with a capstan, pinch roller, reel shafts and a driving system for driving and connecting these members. When the tape is stuck around the capstan and the pinch roller, the movable frame is drawn to remove the tape easily from the fixed frame and, at the same time, a burn-out of lead wire may be prevented.

Cassette tape player

A pushbutton tuner has a plurality of presettable pushbutton actuator assemblies. Each of the pushbutton actuator assemblies comprises a slide mounted on a support so as to be movable between a forward inoperative position and a rearward operative position and normally biased into the inoperative position, a control member pivotally mounted on the slide and having an upstanding pin mounted thereon and being adjustable positionable relative to the slide, a preset member for releasably locking the control member to the slide, and a pushbutton carried by the preset member and having a forward end of the slide slidably received therein. The pushbutton actuator assemblies are disposed in a direction transverse to a movable part of a tuning element. The movable part of the tuning element is formed by a flat plate having formed therein a plurality of V-shaped notched cam edges, one each associated with the respective pushbutton actuator assemblies, and in each of which the upstanding pin of the control member is located, so that movement of a particular pushbutton actuator assembly to its operative position causes the movable plate to be adjusted to a position corresponding to a particular frequency which is determined by the positioned control member. The pushbutton tuner is provided with a clutch trip means including a shift member which extends substantially parallel to the movable plate and mounted on the support so as to be movable in the lengthwise direction thereof, the shift member having a plurality of cams each associated with one of the pushbutton actuator assemblies. A movement of a particular pushbutton actuator assembly causes the drive member to move axially thereof as the pushbutton is moved, thereby driving the shift member to trip the clutch assembly.
