A system and a method for catalytically cracking hydrocarbons. The system includes a fluidized bed riser reactor, and a separation zone configured to separate the effluent from the riser reactor to produce a product stream and a spent catalyst. A stripping zone is fluidly coupled to the outlet of the separation zone such that the spent catalyst is stripped to remove the hydrocarbons adsorbed thereon. The stripping zone encompasses at least a portion of the riser reactor such that stripping internals in the stripping zone are used to provide reaction heat to the riser reactor.

Systems and methods for producing light olefins and BTX (benzene, toluene, and xylene). Crude oil is first separated to produce light naphtha and heavy naphtha. Light naphtha is fed to a steam cracking unit and heavy naphtha is fed to a catalytic cracking unit. The effluent from the steam cracking unit and the effluent from the catalytic cracking unit are flowed into an oil quench tower and are further separated in a separation unit to produce an ethylene stream, a propylene stream, and a BTX stream. The Chydrocarbons, ethane, and propane from the effluent of the steam cracking unit and the effluent from the catalytic cracking unit are recycled to the steam cracking unit. The non-BTX C+ hydrocarbons from the effluent of the steam cracking unit and the effluent from the catalytic cracking unit are recycled to the catalytic cracking unit.

Naphtha catalytic cracking process

Systems and methods for processing full range naphtha feeds to produce a light olefins stream and an aromatics stream concerns integration of catalytic cracking with steam cracking to maximize production of aromatics and olefins.

The present disclosure includes a system for producing low carbon olefins and/or aromatics from raw material comprising naphtha. The system can include a reaction unit that includes a fast fluidized bed reactor, a stripping unit that includes a stripper, and a regeneration unit. The reactor unit is adapted to allow the catalytic cracking of naphtha and to output reaction unit effluent material (spent catalyst and product gas) into the stripping unit, which is adapted to output product gas. The stripping unit is connected to and in fluid communication with the regeneration unit such that the stripping unit supplies the spent catalyst from the reaction unit to regeneration unit. The regeneration unit is adapted to regenerate the spent catalyst to form regenerated catalyst. The regeneration unit is connected to and in fluid communication with the fast fluidized bed reactor such that, in operation, regenerated catalyst can be sent to the fast fluidized bed reactor of the reaction unit.

System for catalytic cracking of naphtha with mixed spent and regenerated catalyst

Systems and methods for processing full range naphtha feeds to produce a light olefins stream and an aromatics stream are described. In particular, the invention concerns integration of catalytic cracking with steam cracking to maximize production of aromatics.

Disclosed is a method for producing low carbon olefins and/or aromatics from feedstock comprising naphtha. The method can include the following steps: a) feeding feedstock comprising naphtha into a fast fluidized bed reactor; b) contacting the feedstock with a catalyst under conditions to produce a gas product and spent catalyst; c) separating the gas product to produce a stream comprising primarily one or more low carbon olefins and/or one or more aromatics; d) transporting the spent catalyst to a regenerator; e) regenerating the spent catalyst in the regenerator to form regenerated catalyst; and f) returning the regenerated catalyst to the fast fluidized bed reactor.

Method for the conversion of feedstock containing naphtha to low carbon olefins and aromatics

A method of converting naphtha is disclosed. The method includes heating the naphtha in stages in different heating units. The naphtha is vaporized in the first heating unit. And the vaporized naphtha undergoes the largest temperature change of the process in the second heating unit. A third heating unit can be a part of the reactor. The reactor includes a catalyst which is contacted with the pre-heated naphtha to convert it to Cto Colefins.
