An automatic-robotic-system-for-cable assembly system and method is provided. The method and system are configured to use a cartridge which holds one or both ends of the cable. The cartridge moves along an automatic cable assembly line, with the line segmented into different stages, at which a process is performed by a specific machine. Different machines, such as actuators or modular machines, perform operations on the cartridge at the different stages. In preparation for or as part of the operations, the actuators or modular machines may directly physically apply one or more forces to a cable held by the cartridge, causing the cable to spool toward or away from the modular machines.

An automatic-robotic-system-for-cable assembly system and method is provided. The method and system are configured to use a cartridge which holds one or both ends of the cable. A system and method for removing a metal foil shield from electrical wires and/or cable, using ablation process, shear stress generation and video camera feedback is disclosed. The metal foil shield is removed using ablation process, shear stress generation and video camera feedback. The system includes a holder configured to hold an electrical cable, a laser configured to provide a laser radiation beam and an optical system configured to shape the laser radiation beam and concentrate the laser radiation beam on surface of the metal foil shield with power sufficient to ablate a groove on the surface of the metal shield and a gripper configured to grip a segment of the electrical cable that protrudes from the holder twist it such as to generate a shear stress in the groove and separate the segment of the electrical cable from the rest of the cable.

An automatic-robotic-system-for-cable assembly is provided. The system is configured to detect the inner-wire placement. The detected inter-wire is conveyed toward a connector's relevant pad. In addition the robotic system is configured to associate the inner wire to the connector's relevant pad.

A system to measure the internal state of a bundle of tubes by injecting a signal into each tube of the bundle, receiving reflections from the tube due to anomalies within the tube, then analyzing the reflections to determine the type or characteristics about the anomalies. The analyzed information is stored in database to be used for statistical processing. Further, the device can be used in the performance of a cleaning process by conducting an initial assessment of the tubes in a bundle of tubes, comparing the stored data and estimating the number of cleaning cycles that will be required, and re-conducting the evaluation of the state of the tubes after every cleaning cycle or after every few cleaning cycles.

Apparatus and method for determining the internal cleanliness of a tube

Exemplary embodiments of method and system for guiding a tester of a bundle of similar objects are disclosed. The disclosed embodiments may obtain a picture of the bundle of the similar objects. The image may be processed in order to identify the bundle of similar objects to be tested. Then, the system may determine which object of the similar objects to measure and accordingly it may instruct a tester to associate an object-measuring device with the determined object to be measured. Upon receiving a trigger signal issued by the tester, information is collected regarding the test results of the measured object and information on the location of the measured object. Then the process can proceed for additional objects in the bundle.

Method and system for testing a bundle of tubular objects guided by a computing device

The internal state of a tube system is detected and monitored by coupling multiple inspection modules to the tube system. Each inspection module injects a signal into the tube system and detects reflections of the signals. The distance between the module and the fault causing a reflection is determined by analyzing the timing between the transmitted signal and detected reflection, along with a known propagation speed of the signals. The location of faults is determined by comparing the distance calculations from two or more inspection modules. Monitoring can be performed over time to identify the development or changes of faults. Monitoring can be done while tube system is active without disrupting the flow of material through the active tube system.

The method includes steps of: providing an acoustic pulse reflectometry (APR) system having a wideband transmitter, a pressure sensor and a short mixed wave tube, performing at least one calibration to obtain at least one calibration parameter; attaching the object to the APR system and performing a measurement to obtain an object test result and processing the object test result and the at least one calibration parameter to obtain an object impulse response that reflects a status of the object.
