When a group of (pre-processed) projection data is stored into a projection-data storage unit, a Gaussian-based expansion-data creating unit creates a group of Gaussian-based expansion data that is expanded from each of the group of projection data through linear combination based on a plurality of Gaussian functions that is stored by a Gaussian-function storage unit and has different center points. A reconstruction-image creating unit then creates a reconstruction image by using the Gaussian-based expansion-data created by the Gaussian-based expansion-data creating unit, and stores the created reconstruction image into an image storage unit.

Image reconstructing apparatus and image reconstructing method

In a PET device, a first detector includes a plurality of first scintillators and detects gamma rays emitted from positron-emitting radionuclides injected into a subject. A second detector is provided on the outer circumferential side of the first detector, includes a plurality of second scintillators arranged in an arrangement surface density lower than that of the first scintillators, and detects gamma rays that have passed through the first detector. A counted information acquiring unit acquires, as first counted information and second counted information, the detection positions, energy values, and detection time regarding gamma rays detected by the first detector and the second detector. Based on the detection time contained in each of the first counted information and the second counted information, an energy value adder generate corrected counted information by summing the energy values contained in the first counted information and the second counted information.

PET device, PET-MRI apparatus, and image processing method

An X-ray computed tomography (CT) apparatus includes a detector, and processing circuitry. The detector is configured to output, at each incidence of an X-ray photon, a signal enabling measurement of an energy value of the X-ray photon. Processing circuitry is configured to estimate an energy range to be used for imaging based on an imaging condition and to reconstruct X-ray CT image data using counting information to which an energy value within the energy range is associated among pieces of counting information that are collected from individual signals output by the detector at each incidence of an X-ray photon that has been irradiated from an X-ray tube and has passed through a subject, and in which a counting value and an energy value of X-ray photons incident to the detector are associated with each other.

X-ray computed tomography apparatus and control method

A PET-MRI device according to an embodiment includes image generators and a derivation unit. The image generators capture an image of a target placed in an effective visual field of a PET by the PET and an MRI so as to generate a PET image and an MR image. The derivation unit calculates a strain correction factor for correcting strain on the MR image based on a positional relation between a target that is expressed on the PET image and a target that is expressed on the MR image.

PET-MRI device

A medical image diagnostic device according to an embodiment includes a first collector, a second collector, and an image generator. The first collector collects data from a first region of a subject through a first detector. The second collector collects data from a second region of the subject that is different from the first region through a second detector. The image generator generates a first diagnostic image from the data collected by the first collector and generates a second diagnostic image from the data collected by the second collector.

Medical image diagnostic device

A medical image diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a first image taking unit, a second image taking unit, a position specifying unit, and a moving controlling unit. The first image taking unit performs an image taking process by implementing PET while using a first PET detector and a second PET detector. The position specifying unit specifies positions of the first PET detector and the second PET detector, on the basis of a medical image taken by the second image taking unit. The moving controlling unit controls moving of the first PET detector and the second PET detector in accordance with the specified positions. The first image taking unit and the second image taking unit each perform the image taking process after the first PET detector and the second PET detector have been moved.

Medical image diagnosis apparatus and PET-MRI apparatus

A positron emission tomography (PET)-magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus according to an embodiment includes a gantry having a static magnetic field magnet, a gradient coil, and a radio frequency coil, a PET detector, and a moving mechanism. The static magnetic field magnet generates a static magnetic field in a bore having an approximately cylindrical shape. The gradient coil is disposed on an inner circumference side of the static magnetic field magnet and applies a gradient magnetic field to an object disposed in the bore. The radio frequency coil is disposed on an inner circumference side of the gradient coil and applies a radio frequency magnetic field to the object. The PET detector detects gamma rays emitted from a positron-emitting radionuclide injected into the object. The moving mechanism causes the PET detector in the gantry along the axial direction of the bore.

PET-MRI apparatus

In a PET (Positron Emission Tomography)-MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) apparatus of an embodiment, a magnet that is a seamless structure generates a static magnetic field in a bore having a cylindrical shape. First detectors and second detectors are each formed in a ring shape and detect gamma rays emitted from positron emitting radionuclides injected into a subject. The first detectors and the second detectors are disposed with a space therebetween in an axial direction of the bore so as to interpose the magnetic field center of the static magnetic field therebetween.

In a PET (Positron Emission Tomography)-MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) apparatus of an embodiment, a transmitting radio frequency coil applies a radio frequency magnetic field on a subject placed in a static magnetic field. A detector is formed in a ring shape, disposed on a side adjacent to an outer circumference of the transmitting radio frequency coil, includes at least two PET detectors disposed with a space therebetween in an axial direction of a bore so as to interpose the magnetic field center of the static magnetic field therebetween, and detects gamma rays emitted from positron emitting radionuclides injected into the subject. Radio frequency shields are each formed in an approximately cylindrical shape, disposed between the transmitting radio frequency coil and the detector, and shield the radio frequency magnetic field generated by the transmitting radio frequency coil.

A photon-counting type X-ray computed tomography apparatus that comprises a high-voltage generator to generate a voltage signal, an X-ray tube to emit X-rays when the X-ray tube receives the voltage signal from the high-voltage generator, an X-ray detector to detect photons derived from the X-rays emitted from the X-ray tube, and circuitry to count a number of the detected photons with respect to a plurality of energy bands, detect a number of photons in a first energy band that exceeds an energy level corresponding to a voltage value of the voltage signal, and changing a number of photons at a second energy band based on the detected number of photons in the first energy band, to correct for operational limitations of the X-ray detector.

Photon-counting type X-ray computed tomography apparatus and method

A gantry includes two X-ray source rings and a detector ring. Each X-ray source ring includes a plurality of X-ray sources arrayed circumferentially. The detector ring is provided next to the X-ray source ring and includes a plurality of X-ray detectors arrayed circumferentially. Each of the plurality of X-ray detectors detects X-rays from the X-ray source ring. A data collection circuit collects raw data corresponding to the intensity of the detected X-rays. A reconstruction unit reconstructs the collected raw data into a CT image based on digital data.

X-ray computed tomography apparatus and photon counting CT apparatus

According to the present embodiment, an image diagnosis apparatus includes a first image taking device that takes an image of a patient placed on a couchtop by using an X-ray emission; a second image taking device that takes images in positions by moving an image taking position of the patient by a predetermined distance at a time, along the body-axis direction; a position estimating unit; and a correction processing unit. The position estimating unit estimates a couchtop position for each of the image taking positions of the second image taking device, based on information about warping of the couchtop of the first image taking device. The correction processing unit uses information about the couchtop positions estimated by the position estimating unit, for performing a position correcting process on the images obtained by the image taking devices.

Image diagnosis apparatus and method

A PET apparatus includes a clock unit. The clock unit includes: a time measuring unit that measures a time; and a reference time receiving unit that receives a reference time. The PET apparatus also includes a detection time revising unit. By using the reference time received by the reference time receiving unit, the detection time revising unit revises detection times recorded by using the time measured by the time measuring unit. For example, the detection time revising unit revises the detection times by calculating a time error that occurred during an image taking period of a predetermined image taking process by using the time measured by the time measuring unit and the reference time received by the reference time receiving unit and further distributing the calculated time error to each of the detection times recorded during the image taking period.

Nuclear medicine imaging apparatus and nuclear medicine imaging system

A positron emission computed tomography apparatus according to an embodiment includes a detector, a coincidence counting information generating unit, and a body movement detecting unit. The detector detects annihilation radiation released from a subject. The coincidence counting information generating unit searches for sets of counting information, which counted a pair of annihilation radiations at substantially the same time, from a counting information list that is generated from output signals of the detector; generates a set of coincidence counting information for each retrieved set of counting information; and generates a time series list of coincidence counting information. Based on the time series list of coincidence counting information, the body movement detecting unit detects temporal changes in the body movement of the subject.
