A lens cleaner capable of more surely cleaning grime off from an objective lens is provided. A lens cleaner of the present invention includes first and second lens cleaning portions. The first lens cleaning portion is provided to be brought into contact with a lens protector when the lens cleaner is rotated, to cause an objective lens to be away from a recording or reproducing position against an elastic force of an elastic member. The second lens cleaning portion is provided on an upstream side in a rotation direction relative to the first lens cleaning portion. The second lens cleaning portion is provided to pass above the lens protector while the objective lens is away from the recording or reproducing position, and to be brought into contact with the objective lens when the objective lens returns to the recording or reproducing position by the elastic force of the elastic member.

Lens cleaner and optical disc device

As imaging devices are miniaturized, and optical devices are miniaturized, lens moving mechanisms are also miniaturized. Thus, position sensors for them are required to be miniaturized and have high accuracy at low cost. A magnet of a pillar shape and a yoke which move in the X axis direction with respect to a magnetic field detection element are provided, and a shape of a cross section of the yoke which is orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the magnet changes along the longitudinal direction.

In an optical head for performing the reproduction or recording of information for two or more types of different optical disks, the damage caused to an optical disk or an objective lens by collision between the optical disk and the objective lens is avoided. An optical heads device for reproducing or recording two or more types of information recording mediums different from each other comprises a first optical system, a second optical system, and a control unit for avoiding the collision between an optical disk and a second objective lens when a first optical system is in operation.

Optical heads device and control method of optical head

A reflecting mirror and an optical bench are placed on an external jig provided with a mirror holding portion for maintaining the reflecting mirror, and then the reflecting mirror and the optical bench are bonded and fixed, thus obtaining an optical head. An adhesion reference plane for the reflecting mirror is no longer required in the optical bench, thus reducing the size and cost of the optical bench. The mounting precision is high and stable. Further, the reflecting mirror is bonded and fixed at the vicinities of the approximate centers of its two opposed side faces and therefore the variation in orientation of the reflecting mirror due to expansion or contraction of an adhesive is lessened, thus achieving a highly-reliable optical head excellent in environmental stability characteristics.

An objective lens driver comprises an objective lens, a lens holder, a plurality of support members for supporting the lens holder in such a manner as to enable the objective lens to move along the focusing direction and along the tracking direction, a drive means for driving the lens holder, a fixing member provided with a viscoelastic member formed to hold each support member, each support member including a linear section linearly formed to connect to viscoelastic member provided in the fixing member and to the lens holder, and at least one arm branching from somewhere between the ends of each linear section so as to reduce resonance of each support member generated when the lens holder is driven by the drive means.

Objective lens driver

It is an object to provide an optical information recording medium including a substrate () and an optical information layer in one of the layers the substrate () and having a light incident surface on at least one of the surfaces of the substrate side and the opposite side. The optical information recording medium also includes a magnetic clamp layer () at a position not disturbing the incident light into the optical information layer from the light incident surface and covering optical information layer partially or entirely. The magnetic clamp layer () is pulled by and fixed to the magnet of an optical information recording/reproduction apparatus. The pulling force between the clamp layer and the magnet is preferably in a range from 0.1 N to 5 N. Thus, it is possible to provide an optical information recording medium and an optical information recording/reproduction apparatus in which recording/reproduction can be performed up to the vicinity of the center of the substrate ().

Optical information recording medium and optical information recording/reproduction apparatus

A lens holder 2 holds an objective lens 1. Wires 5a.about.5d movably support the lens holder 2 relative to a stationary member 6 in a tracking direction and in a focus direction. The wires 5a.about.5d are integrally formed with the lens holder 2 and the stationary member 6 and one end and the other end of each of the wires are buried in the lens holder 2 and the stationary member 6. At a time of the integral molding, parts of the buried portions of the wires 5a.about.5d are exposed in notches 2a.about.2d and 6a.about.6d to be in contact with a mold for molding, thereby injection pressure of a molding material is received by the mold. This makes it possible to prevent deformation of the wires 5a.about.5d due to the injection pressure of the molding material, resulting in reducing inclination during actuation and degradation of frequency response characteristic.

Objective lens actuator and method for producing the same

A substrate treating method and apparatus for treating a substrate by supplying a developing solution thereto while spinning the substrate. A nozzle having a plurality of discharge openings for discharging the developer is disposed such that the discharge openings are at different distances from the spin center of the substrate. The developer is discharged from the nozzle while the latter is moved radially of the substrate. The discharge openings then describe loci not overlapping one another over the substrate. The developer is evenly supplied over the substrate to promote the uniformity of development on the substrate surface.

Substrate treating method and apparatus

An optical information recording/reproducing apparatus for optically writing and reproducing information on a disk-shape recording medium according to the present invention includes: a base; an objective lens for converging a light beam on the disk-shape recording medium, an optical axis of the objective lens being perpendicular to the disk-shape recording medium; an actuator for actuating the objective lens along an optical axis direction in which the optical axis of the objective lens extends and along a radial direction of the disk-shape recording medium, wherein the actuator is fixed on the base and includes a lens holder for supporting the objective lens, and a first electrokinetic type transducer and a second electrokinetic type transducer for driving the lens holder along the optical axis direction and/or the radial direction of the disk-shape recording medium, the first and second electrokinetic type transducers interposing the lens holder, and a distance between the first electrokinetic type transducer and the base being different from a distance between the second electrokinetic type transducer and the base; and an optical member for directing a light beam to travel between the first electrokinetic type transducer and the base and to be incident on the objective lens.
