A battery pack having a first cell unit and a second cell unit in which multiple battery cells are connected in series is provided. When the battery pack is not connected to an electric apparatus main body, the first cell unit and the second cell unit are in a non-connection state in which the first cell unit and the second cell unit are not electrically connected to each other. The battery pack includes: a microcomputer, connected to one of the first cell unit and the second cell unit; a residual quantity display portion, connected to the microcomputer and displaying a battery residual quantity of the battery pack; and a switch, being operated by a worker. When the switch is operated while in the non-connection state, the microcomputer is configured to perform a light-on control to display the battery residual quantity by the residual quantity display portion.

Battery pack, electric apparatus using battery pack, and electric apparatus main body

A battery pack and an electric apparatus are provided. The battery pack is configured to be connectable to an electric apparatus main body of the electric apparatus. The battery pack includes: a first cell unit, including a first plurality of battery cells connected to each other, a first positive terminal, and a first negative terminal; a second cell unit, including a second plurality of battery cells connected to each other, a second positive terminal, and a second negative terminal; a microcomputer; and a casing, accommodating the first cell unit, the second cell unit, and the microcomputer. The first cell unit and the second cell unit are configured to be switched a connection state each other. The microcomputer is configured to be electrically connected to a positive terminal and a negative terminal of one of the first cell unit and the second cell unit and to be provided a power from the one of the first cell unit and the second cell unit.

Battery pack and electric apparatus using battery pack

The electrical apparatus, in which a series connection state and a parallel connection state of an upper cell unit including five battery cells and a lower cell unit can be automatically switched by means of a difference in a terminal shape on the electrical apparatus body side, has a terminal holder and holds apparatus side terminals. The terminal holder, which establishes an electrically connected state with the connection terminals of the battery pack, is provided with two parallel protruding parts that extend in the forward-backward direction, and second rail grooves fitted to the protruding parts on the electrical apparatus side. Due to the fitting, relative movement of the terminal holder and the battery pack in the vertical direction can be suppressed, and wear on the apparatus side terminals can be greatly suppressed.

Electrical apparatus using battery pack

A battery pack houses first and second cell units that are composed of a plurality of cells, and has a positive electrode power source terminal and a negative electrode power source terminal. This battery pack is provided with a series connector capable of connecting, in series, the first and second cell units and a parallel connector capable of connecting, in parallel, the first and second cell units, and is capable of switching between a parallel connection voltage and a series connection voltage. In the case of attachment to the high voltage electrical device body, the series connector becomes conductive and the parallel connector pair is cut off by the action of the series/parallel switching terminal. In the case of attachment to a low voltage electrical device body, the state is returned to an initial state, the series connector is cut off, and the parallel connector pair becomes conductive.

The electrical device comprises a common device main body having selectively and detachably attached thereto either a variable-voltage power supply device or a high-voltage power supply device. The device main body has: a protruding section that abuts a power supply-side main erroneous attachment prevention section provided in the variable-voltage power supply device and the high-voltage power supply device; a device-side main erroneous attachment prevention section that abuts the power supply-side main erroneous attachment prevention section provided in a low-voltage power supply device and prevents the low-voltage power supply device from abutting an attachment positioning section; and a device-side attachment permitting section that can be combined in a power supply-side auxiliary erroneous attachment prevention section provided in the high-voltage power supply device.

Electrical device system, electrical device, and power supply device

A battery pack includes cell units in which upper and lower battery cells are connected in series, wherein an output of series-connection and an output of parallel-connection can be switched. The cell units are respectively provided with protection circuit ICs for monitoring the state of the battery cells, and only the protection circuit on the lower cell unit side is provided with a controllerincluding a microcomputer. To adjust the power consumption for the microcomputer only provided in the lower cell unit, the circuit on the upper cell unit side is provided with a current consumption control means including dummy loads. The current consumption control means is operated in conjunction with the start-up of the microcomputer in the controller so as to equalize power consumption on the upper cell unit side and the lower cell unit side.

In an upper cell unit () and a lower cell unit () comprising five battery cells, positive electrode terminals () are set apart and aligned vertically, and negative electrode terminals () are set apart and aligned vertically. When an electrical device body is rated at 36V, device-side terminals are in contact only at the upper terminals (), and short circuiting of the lower terminals () is effected using a short bar. When the electrical device body is rated at 18V, the upper and lower terminals (andand) are simultaneously made to contact the device-side terminals, and the upper cell unit () and the lower cell unit () assume a parallel connected state. Thus, it is possible to automatically switch the output voltage when a battery pack is mounted according to the difference in terminal shape on the electrical device body side.

A power tool which has an anvilthat is rotated by a hammerand is housed in a housing, and rotates an output shaftis provided. The anviland the output shaftare integrally formed into one unit, and a carrierthat is rotatable relative to the anvilby a predetermined angle on the same axis is provided. On one portion of an outer circumferential surface of the anvil, a relief surfaceis formed. Cut-out portionsare formed at positions opposed to each other of a carrier, and by allowing an engaging pinto be interposed therein, a locking mechanism that limits the relative rotation between the anviland a lock ringis prepared. When the tool main body is manually rotated while the hammeris being stopped, the engaging pinlimits the relative rotation between the anviland the lock ring. The locked state between the anviland the lock ringis released immediately when the rotation of the motoris started.

Power tool anvil lock mechanism

An electric driver includes a hook portion which is constituted by a deformable hook-like portion and a connecting portion for connecting the hook-like portion to the handle. The hook-like portion is constituted by a base portion connected to the connecting portion and a bent portion continuous to the base portion, and a front end portion continuous to the bent portion and arranged at a position substantially opposed to the base portion. The front end portion and the base portion can be proximate to and remote from each other. The connecting portion holds the hook-like portion in a direction substantially the same as a direction in which the handle extends. The hook-like portion is pivotably held on a first rotating axis center extending in substantially the same direction as the handle.

A power tool includes a hook portion having a hook holding portion, which is provided in a housing and has engaging teeth provided in the housing. A hook having a shaft portion is inserted into the hook holding portion and provided with fitting teeth meshing with the engaging teeth An elastic body is adapted to push the hook against a handle portion at all times, and a slip-off preventing part holding portion is adapted to move the hook in a direction of an axis thereof against a force of the elastic body and to cancel the mesh between the teeth to thereby enable the hook to turn.
