A press-fit terminal includes: a cylindrical pin having a narrow portion; and a contact section. The pin has a large diameter portion that has a diameter larger than a diameter of the narrow portion. The contact section includes an elastic contact piece to come into contact with a through hole of a circuit board that is a press-fit attachment object. The contact section is fitted to the narrow portion in a way that enables the contact section to move between a first position and a second position, the first position being a position at which the elastic contact piece does not come into contact with the large diameter portion during attachment to the circuit board, the second position being a position at which the elastic contact piece comes into contact with the large diameter portion during a withdrawal from the circuit board.

Press-fit terminal and method for manufacturing press-fit terminal

A press-fit terminal comprises a contact member making contact with an electrode of a through-hole via penetrating a circuit substrate. The contact member comprises multiple contact pieces making contact with the electrode of the through-hole via, a junction part supporting the multiple contact pieces together, and a fixing part fixed to a main piece of a pin part and supporting the junction part via a flexible part.

Press-fit terminal

A connector includes an outer housing including an engagement catch, an inner housing and a sliding member. The inner housing includes an engagement latch, and a pair of locking arms each provided with the engagement latch. The inner housing includes a slide channel having the pair of locking arms disposed at both sides. The sliding member includes a pair of latching arms each provided with a latch. When the first housing and the second housing are engaged with each other, the first housing and the second housing allow the sliding member to pass through the slide channel, and when the sliding member slides the slide channel, the pair of latching arms are deflected so as to decrease a gap therebetween by depressions from the respective locking arms.

Downsizing of a connector having a connector position assurance function

A connector includes an outer housing, an inner housing provided with an engagement latch, a slide channel, and rails each being a groove, and a sliding member provided with support arms engaged with the respective rails, and a protrusion to latch the engagement latch. The slide channel is formed with a slide surface extending along the rail. The support arms each include a lower surface facing the slide surface, and an upper surface inclined relative to the slide surface. The groove forming the rail is formed as a recess including a bottom surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface. The second side surface faces the upper surface of the support arm, and is formed at an inclination angle corresponding to that of the upper surface.

Connector with sliding member

A connector includes an outer housing, an inner housing, and a sliding member. The inner housing includes a protrusion catch and a slide channel including a slide surface, and to be engaged with the outer housing. The sliding member includes a protrusion to latch the protrusion catch, and a lower surface. The lower surface faces with the slide surface, and includes a plane part, and a thickened part upraised from the plane. The thickened part is formed with an offset surface offset from the plane of the lower surface, formed at a position contacting the slide surface, and formed as a plane.

Connector

A connector apparatus includes first and second connectors. The first connector includes a first latching part, a second latching part, and an arm supporting the second latching part, and visible from an exterior. The second connector includes a first latched part to be latched with the first latching part, and a second latched part to be latched with the second latching part. The second connector is to be engaged with the first connector. In accordance with an advancement of the engagement between the first connector and the second connector, as the first latched part is latched by the first latching part, the second latching part is guided by the second latched part and the arm is deflected, and after the latching between the first latching part and the first latched part, as the second latched part is latched by the second latching part, the deflection of the arm is canceled.

A connector terminal includes a press-fit terminal and a shaft portion, the connector terminal being fabricated of a single metal sheet, the shaft portion having a lateral cross section having a size entirely covering therewith a lateral cross section of the press-fit terminal when viewed in an axial direction of the connector terminal, the shaft portion having surfaces extending in the axial direction at an entire circumference thereof, the lateral cross section of the shaft portion being identical in shape with a lateral cross section of a terminal space of a die used for fabricating a housing for the press-fit terminal, the press-fit terminal being fit into the terminal space when the housing is molded with resin.

Connector terminal, electric connector, and method of fabricating the connector terminal

A terminal module is used for electrically connecting an electric element mounted on a first board to a second board opposing to the first board. A through-hole is opened in the second board. The terminal module includes: an electrically conductive terminal including at each of opposite ends thereof; a connection part through which the terminal module is electrically connected to the electric element; and a contact part to be inserted into the through-hole; and an electrically insulative base holding a part of the electrically conductive terminal to keep the electrically conductive terminal in a constant posture. The terminal module is mounted onto the first board keeping fixed thereto.

Terminal module

A press-fit connector terminal includes: a terminal body having a length sufficient to pass through an electrically conductive through-hole formed through a circuit substrate; and a contact unit arranged around the terminal body so as to surround therewith about a central axis of the terminal body, the contact unit being formed capable of expanding/contracting in a radial direction around the central axis. The contact unit has rigidity lower than that of the terminal body, the terminal body is made of material with electrical conductivity greater than that of the contact unit; and when the terminal body and the contact unit are integrally inserted into the through-hole, a gap exists between the terminal body and the contact unit so that the contact unit is movable relative to the terminal body in the radial direction within the through-hole.

Press-fit connector terminal

A connector housing includes a terminal housing in which at least one connector terminal electrically connecting two printed circuit boards to each other is housed. The terminal housing includes a holder for holding the at least one connector terminal therewith, the holder being elastically deformable in accordance with a displacement of the at least one connector terminal.
