A fuel cell system includes a FC, a TRC, an oxygen-containing gas supply apparatus, a battery, and an ECU. The ECU is capable of performing power consumption control which allows the oxygen-containing gas supply apparatus to consume electrical energy during regeneration of the TRC. The ECU is configured to determine a charge margin with respect to a charge limitation value of the battery, in a manner that the charge margin set after the power consumption control starts becomes smaller than the charge margin set before the power consumption control is performed.

Fuel cell system

A power supply system includes a fuel cell, a power storage device, a first voltage adjusting device, a second voltage adjusting device, and a controller. The controller is to control the first voltage adjusting device and the second voltage adjusting device. The controller is to switch the second voltage adjusting device from a direct coupling state to a voltage adjusting state in a case where a first absolute value of a first difference between a secondary voltage of the second voltage adjusting device applied across a load and a fuel cell voltage is less than a predetermined allowable voltage value or in a case where a second absolute value of a second difference between a fuel cell current being to flow from the fuel cell into the first voltage adjusting device and a target current value of the fuel cell current exceeds a predetermined allowable current value.

Power supply system and fuel cell vehicle

In a case where a load amount of a load is a predetermined value or less, a control device of an FC vehicle implements extremely low current control for performing power generation at an extremely low current below a lower limit current of an FC for normal operation. At the time of implementing the extremely low current control, upper and lower limit values of a target output voltage of the converter are set in correspondence with the extremely low current, and the output voltage of the FC is controlled to be within a range between the upper and lower limit values.

Method of controlling fuel cell vehicle

There are provided: a power supply provided with a fuel cell; a fuel cell vehicle; an inverter device capable of supplying electric power that is supplied from the fuel cell to an external load; a radiator; a radiator fan; a dryness detection device that detects a dry condition of the fuel cell; and an ECU that control supply of electric power to the external load. The ECU drives the radiator fan when the dryness detection device detects dryness of the fuel cell while electric power is being supplied from the fuel cell to the external load.

Electric power supply system

A fuel cell system executes charge processing to charge electric power generated by a stack to a battery, and sealed discharge processing to cause an oxygen concentration inside a cathode flow channel to decrease, after a stop operation has been made on a power switch. The stop method of a fuel cell system includes: a step of calculating a remaining charge time corresponding to a time in which charge processing can be executed, by subtracting a time required in sealed discharge processing from a predetermined stop processing permitted time, after a stop operation has been made on the power switch (Step S), a step of calculating a remaining target charge amount of the battery (Step S), a step of executing charge processing while controlling output of the stack based on the remaining charge time and remaining target charge amount (Step S), and a step of executing sealed discharge processing.

Stop method of vehicle electrical power system

A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell, a reactant gas supply device, a voltage adjusting device, a load, and a control device. The control device executes a fixed voltage/variable output control where, in a state where an output voltage of the fuel cell is fixed to a voltage value outside of a redox advancing voltage range using the voltage adjusting device, a supply amount of reactant gas supplied from the reactant gas supply device to the fuel cell is changed so as to track a request output of the load. The control device restricts a change rate of the supply amount of the reactant gas supplied from the reactant gas supply device to the fuel cell if there is change in the request output of the load while the fixed voltage/variable output control is being executed.

A fuel cell device is equipped with an ECUwhich executes a start-up control of a fuel cell stack, and executes a normal electric distribution control, after completion of the start-up control, for controlling a supply flow rate of a fuel gas to an anode electrode and a supply flow rate of an oxidant gas to a cathode electrode, so that a predetermined target current is supplied from the fuel cell stackto an electric load. The ECUmakes a current adjustment elementto be in a state where a current larger than a minimum current necessary for the fuel cell stackin the normal electric distribution control is supplied from the fuel cell stackto the electric load, in the start-up control, during the period from starting of the supply of hydrogen to the anode electrodeuntil a gas channel of the anode electrodeis filled with hydrogen.

Fuel cell device

In a fuel cell system, regeneration-time voltage fixed control is implemented where during regeneration or when regeneration is expected to occur, output voltage of a fuel cell is set to a voltage value outside an oxidation reduction progress voltage range, and the amount of reactant gas supplied to the fuel cell is changed based on the amount of electric power remaining in an energy storage device. In the regeneration-time voltage fixed control, it is determined whether or not regeneration occurs while a moving body equipped with the fuel cell system is moving down a slope, and in the case where it is determined that regeneration occurs while the moving body is moving down a slope, the amount of the reactant gas supplied to the fuel cell is decreased in comparison with the case where it is determined that regeneration occurs while the moving body is not moving down a slope.

Method of controlling fuel cell system

An ECU of a control apparatus further alleviates a fluctuation in a power generation amount of a fuel cell stack with respect to the power required by an inverter apparatus, when a power supply circuit configured by each of contactors and a power supply inletsupplies the power to the inverter apparatus compared with when a vehicle is driving. The ECU, when the power supply circuit supplies power to the inverter apparatus, stops the power generation of the fuel cell stack in a case where a remaining capacity in a battery is greater than or equal to a predetermined remaining capacity, and inhibits the fuel cell stack from stopping the power generation in a case where the power supplied to the inverter apparatus by the power supply circuit is greater than or equal to a predetermined power supply amount.

Outward power supply control apparatus for fuel cell vehicle

An electric power supply system can determine a sharing ratio of an electric power so as to increase and decrease an output electric power supplied by an electric power generator in accordance with an output electric power value required for the electric power supply system, in a fuel cell following region where a frequency of a magnitude of the electric power is equal to or higher than a predetermined value in a frequency distribution of a magnitude of the electric power, and can determine the sharing ratio of the electric power so as to increase an output electric power supplied by an electricity storage device, in an assist region where the frequency is lower than a predetermined value in the frequency distribution, and can prevent an excess of discharging from an electricity storage device.

The object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell system enabling an improvement in fuel consumption and a method for controlling thereof. A fuel cell systemincludes a fuel cell, an air pump, an air supply channel, a hydrogen supply channel, a hydrogen tank, a hydrogen discharge channel, a hydrogen reflux channel, an air discharge channel, a purge valve, and a control device. The control deviceincludes a dilution judgment portionjudging whether dilution of hydrogen gas has been completed; an air increase portionfor increasing an air mass in the air discharge channel; a power production calculation portioncalculating an amount of power production based on the air mass increased; and a fuel cell drive portiondriving the fuel cellto produce electric power to obtain the amount of power production calculated.

Fuel cell system with dilution and purge control and control method thereof

A fuel cell vehicle is provided. At the time of regeneration of electric power by a motor, an ECU places a DC/DC converter in a direct connection state under control, and stores electric power in a battery while decreasing oxygen concentration or hydrogen concentration by a gas supply unit to decrease electric power generated by a fuel cell.

A FC vehicle includes a long distance hill climbing detector for detecting long distance hill climbing and a controller for, in the case where the long distance hill climbing detector detects the long distance hill climbing, controlling the allocation amount of electric power outputted from an FC such that the allocation amount is larger than the allocation amount before the detection of the long distance hill climbing.

A fuel cell vehicle is provided. The voltage of a fuel cell is fixed, by a DC/DC converter, to a voltage outside an oxidation reduction progress voltage range of the fuel cell. In this state, oxygen concentration or hydrogen concentration is decreased by a gas supply unit, and electric power outputted from the fuel cell is decreased. In this state, regenerative electric power generated by regeneration is collected into a battery.

When the output of a fuel cell starts to decrease, in consideration of the increase in the power generation efficiency, an instruction for the output of the fuel cell undergoes a smoothing process to gradually decrease the output, and excessive electric power generated during a period in which the power generation efficiency is high is used for charging a battery. While the output of the fuel cell is increasing, the power generation efficiency of the fuel cell is low. Thus, assisting electrical energy from the battery is increased. In this manner, the power generation output when the power generation efficiency of the fuel cell is low is reduced from a high power generation output to a low power generation output to achieve improvement in the average power generation efficiency.
