A switch drive circuit drives a full-bridge output stage connected to a transformer to alternately switch between a first cycle in which a current in a first direction is supplied to the transformer and a second cycle in which a current in a second direction is supplied to the transformer. The switch drive circuit includes a mode in which a dead time of the output stage is set in accordance with a magnitude of a current flown in one of the first and second cycles, the dead time becoming an operation changing factor in the other cycle. Or, the switch drive circuit includes a mode in which the dead time of the output stage is set in accordance with a magnitude of an average current obtained by averaging currents flown in the first and second cycles. Or, the switch drive circuit switches between these modes in accordance with a signal.

Switch drive circuit and switching power supply device using same

Provided is a coil component that includes: a coil pattern provided on a substrate and including a plurality of separated end sections that are separated from each other with a gap in between; and a conduction member that allows a selective electrical conduction between the respective separated end sections. The selective electrical conduction causes a change in the number of turns of the coil pattern. Every section in the coil pattern configures a part of the coil component, irrespective of the number of turns.

A light source device comprising: a point light source for emitting light; a light source substrate directly mounting the point light source; a light source substrate cover having a through hole or a notch in a position to which the point light source corresponds, the light source substrate cover arranged opposite to a surface of the light source substrate on which the point light source is mounted; and a support member for supporting the light source substrate, the support member arranged to be opposed to the reverse side of the mounting surface of the light source substrate, the support member has a substantially same size with the light source substrate; wherein the light source substrate cover and the support member sandwich the light source substrate to support the light source substrate.

A planar light source device comprising: a plurality of point light; a light guide plate including an incident surface, wherein the light spread out into a planar shape and the light guide plate emits the light from an emitting surface; and a frame including an opening, wherein the frame has a protrusion that is provided on a light source side of a peripheral end portion of the emitting surface of the light guide plate, wherein the point light sources are arranged at the light source side, wherein the protrusion has difference widths parallel to the emitting surface, and wherein a width of a portion of the protrusion, which corresponds to the position where the point of the point light source is arranged, is wider than a width of a portion of the protrusion, which corresponds to a position between the point light sources.

Planar light source device and display apparatus using the same

A light source supporting member supports a light source and has a first face and a second face opposite to the first face. A light guide plate has a side face opposed to the first face of the light source supporting member and a light emitting face that emits light from the light source. A metal frame supports the light guide plate. A resin frame overlies the second face of the light source supporting member and includes a connection part that connects with the metal frame within a plate thickness of the metal frame. The connection part includes a convex part including a projection portion projecting from the convex part. The projection portion extends toward the metal frame to overlie the second face of the light source supporting member. The metal frame includes a concave part including a recessed part engaged with the projection portion.

Planer light source device

A display device includes a point light source; a light source substrate; a rear frame including a first side wall and a bottom, the light source substrate being disposed at an inner surface of the first side wall; and a front frame engaged with the rear frame and including a second side wall that faces the first side wall. The first side wall and the second side wall respectively have a first through hole and a second through hole through which a screw is inserted. The light source substrate has a screw hole to be screwed with the screw and is located only at a position corresponding to the first through hole and the second through hole. The light source substrate is fixed by the screw that is inserted into the first through hole and the second through hole and is screwed into the screw hole.

Surface light source device

A surface light source device includes light source driving means for driving light sources on a light emission block basis, a light exit area being sectioned into two or more light emission blocks, light quantity detecting means for detecting light quantities on the basis of output light beams that are led out from the two or more light emission blocks, and drive control means for adjusting emission light quantities of the light sources corresponding to the respective light emission blocks on the basis of light quantities that are detected during lighting periods when only one of the light emission blocks is lit up that are subjected to light quantity detection by the light quantity detecting means.

Surface light source device and liquid crystal display device

A surface light-source device includes: a plurality of point light sources; a light-guide plate arranged for emitting from its emitting surface the light incident on one lateral side thereof from the point light sources; a lower case having a lateral side formed approximately in parallel to the incident surface of the light-guide plate; and a light-source substrate on which the plurality of point light sources are arranged at predetermined intervals, disposed on the light-guide plate side. Light source device and liquid display device

A planar light-source device is obtained in which, in the space between a point light source and the peripheral portion of a through-hole in a case, rays that leak into or are absorbed into a space outside a hollow region can be reduced, whereby the number of rays that propagate into the hollow region can be increased. A point light source is installed from outside a case, through through-holes formed in the case and a reflection sheet, and a reflector formed on the reflection sheet to correspond to the point light source is slanted with respect to the bottom side of the case, depthward along the through-hole, in a region enclosed by the peripheral portion of the through-hole of the case and by the point light source.
