A cart has a wheeled base unit with a first frame portion on one side and a second frame portion on another. The frame portions are coupled by a frontend part. A handle unit connects the frame portions at a backside of the cart and also connects the base unit to a basket. An inner frame portion is between the frame portions and extends to the frontend part of the base unit. The inner frame portion includes a front contact portion and a stopper portion. A spacer portion is attached to the inner frame portion closer to the backside of the base unit than the stopper portion. The spacer portion is positioned to contact a front contact portion of another cart when carts are nested. A coupling portion is sandwiched between the inner frame portion and a frontend part of another cart when carts are nested.

A cart power supply device includes a power supply resonance circuit, a notification element, a current detection circuit, and a control circuit. The power supply resonance circuit includes a power supply coil that can be electromagnetically coupled to a power reception coil mounted on a shopping cart or the like. The current detection circuit detects a current flowing through the power supply resonance circuit. The control circuit supplies an alternating current to the power supply resonance circuit at a first level and operates the notification element in a first mode when the detected current is less than a first threshold. The control circuit supplies the alternating current at a second level when the detected current is greater than the first threshold and operates the notification element in a second mode.

The detection device detects an operation for an operation area. The first calculation section calculates coordinates of an operation position by a user on the basis of the detection result of the detection device. The present invention provides, as operation modes of such an electric vacuum cleaner, an operation mode for boosting power inputted to the motor-driven blower with the boost converter circuit to thereby increase dust suction power, and an operation mode for deactivating the boost converter circuit. Consequently, the boost converter circuit is used to enable the boosting of the power inputted to the motor-driven blower only when really required, and a loss in power produced due to the mounting of the boost converter circuit can be reduced. Thus, the service hour per charge for a battery can be set to a level equivalent to an electric vacuum cleaner equipped with no boost converter circuit.
