An object of the present invention is to provide a composition for a positive electrode having high binding properties and high flexibility. A composition for a positive electrode, comprising: a graft copolymer-based resin; a polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin, wherein the graft copolymer-based resin includes a graft copolymer in which a monomer, having (meth)acrylonitrile as a main component, is graft-copolymerized with a polyvinyl alcohol. The graft copolymer-based resin optionally further includes at least one of a (meth)acrylonitrile-based non-graft polymer and a polyvinyl alcohol homopolymer. And, a slurry for a positive electrode comprising the composition. A positive electrode comprising a metal foil and a coating film of the slurry. The composition preferably has a mass ratio of the graft copolymer-based resin and the polyvinylidene fluoride resin, which is: graft copolymer-based resin/polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin=2/8 to 8/2.

Positive electrode composition

[Problem] To provide a conductive resin composition for electrodes which is excellent in dispersibility and oxidation resistance. To provide: an electrode composition employing the conductive resin composition for electrodes and having a low viscosity; an electrode employing the electrode composition and having a low electrode plate resistance; and a lithium ion battery having a high energy density, high output characteristics and a high cyclability. [Solution] A conductive resin composition for electrodes, comprising a dispersant, a conductive agent, and a binding material, wherein: the dispersant comprises a graft copolymer in which a monomer containing acrylonitrile as a main component is grafted onto polyvinyl alcohol; the average degree of polymerization of the polyvinyl alcohol is 300 to 3,000 and the degree of saponification of the same is 90 mol % to 100 mol %; and the polyvinyl alcohol content and the polyacrylonitrile content in the graft copolymer are, respectively, 10 mass % to 40 mass % and 90 mass % to 60 mass %.

Provided is a binder composition for negative electrode that has good binding property with an active material and a metal foil and is superior in reduction resistance. A binder composition for negative electrode comprising a graft copolymer obtained by graft copolymerizing, with polyvinyl alcohol, a monomer containing (meth)acrylonitrile as a main component, wherein the polyvinyl alcohol has an average degree of polymerization of 300 to 3000; the polyvinyl alcohol has a saponification degree of 70 to 100 mol %; the graft copolymer has a polyvinyl alcohol amount of 10 to 90 mass %; and the graft copolymer has a poly(meth)acrylonitrile amount of 90 to 10 mass %.

Binder composition for negative electrode, slurry for negative electrode, negative electrode, and lithium ion secondary battery

A binder composition for positive electrode with superior oxidation resistance is provided. A slurry for positive electrode, a positive electrode, and a lithium ion secondary battery manufactured by using the binder composition is provided. A binder composition for positive electrode including a graft copolymer in which a monomer containing acrylonitrile as a main component is graft copolymerized with polyvinyl alcohol having an average degree of polymerization of 300 to 3000 and a saponification degree of 70 to 100 mol %, is provided. Further, a slurry for positive electrode includes the binder composition for positive electrode, a positive electrode active material, and a conductive assistant. In addition, a lithium ion secondary battery is manufactured using a positive electrode made with the slurry for positive electrode and a positive electrode.
