A releasing composition capable of improving abrasion resistance includes a releasing composition containing releasing particles in a film forming material, and the releasing particle has a first releasing resin as a core material and a second releasing resin as a coating material. The first releasing resin has a relatively higher releasing property than the second releasing resin. The first releasing resin can include a surface tension of from about 0.01 N/m to about 0.025 N/m, and the second releasing resin may have a surface tension of from about 0.026 N/m to about 0.05 N/m.

Releasing composition

A releasing composition and a thermal transfer recording medium capable of improving abrasion resistance are provided. The releasing composition of the invention includes a releasing composition containing releasing particles in a prescribed film forming material, and the releasing particle has a first releasing resin as a core material and a second releasing resin as a coating material. The first releasing resin has a relatively higher releasing property than the second releasing resin. The first releasing resin can include a surface tension of from about 0.01 N/m to about 0.025 N/m, and the second releasing resin may have a surface tension of from about 0.026 N/m to about 0.05 N/m.

A thermal transfer recording mediumaccording to the present invention is to obtain a reliable printed matter with no space between picture information and a protective film thereof and has a melting type transfer portionincluding a melting type primer layerwhose main component is styrene vinyl acetate copolymer and a melting type ink layer. Since styrene vinyl acetate copolymer softens or melts by heating to lose mechanical strength thereof, the melting type transfer portionis transferred with ease from a base sheetby heating to form a printing layer. On the surface of the printing layer, a residual resinformed of material of the melting type primer layeris exposed; however, since styrene vinyl acetate copolymer sticks well to a thermoplastic resin existing on the surface portion of a protective portion, there is no space generated between the protective portionand the printing layer

Thermal transfer recording medium and photographic print

The present invention provides a thermal transfer recording medium having a solvent-resistant layer based on a polyester resin wherein an even ink layer is formed by coating on the solvent-resistant layer. A thermal transfer recording mediumof the present invention comprises a solvent-resistant layerbased on a polyester resin on a substrateand an ink layerbased on a ketone resin on the solvent-resistant layer. The solvent-resistant layercontains a polyethylene wax in the range from 10 to 80% by weight of on the basis of the solid content of the solvent-resistant layer.
