The ball screw device includes: a screw shaft having an N number (N is an integer equal to or larger than 2) of rolling grooves having the same lead; balls configured to roll in the rolling grooves; and a nut member, which is assembled to the screw shaft through intermediation of the balls, and includes one or a plurality of endless circulation paths configured to circulate the balls around the screw shaft. Each of the endless circulation paths of the nut member includes: an N number of load portions, which are configured to allow the balls to roll thereon while bearing a load, and correspond to the N number of rolling grooves, respectively; and an N number of no-load portions, which each couple adjacent ones of the load portions, and are configured to allow the balls to move between the N number of rolling grooves.

A surgical system includes: a plurality of surgical instruments each of which includes a flexible shaft provided with a surgical tool on a leading end-side portion thereof, a supporting platform that supports the plurality of surgical instruments; a medical instrument that includes a plurality of flexible inner tubes into which the flexible shafts of the surgical instruments can be inserted, and an outer tube into which the plurality of flexible inner tubes can be inserted and that is to be inserted into a body cavity; and a gripping mechanism that includes a gripping portion that grips the outer tube, and a supporting portion that includes at least one joint portion and that fixes and supports the gripping portion, the at least one joint portion making the medical instrument adjustable regarding the position and orientation thereof.

Surgical system

A treatment-instrument insertion aid () for aiding insertion of a treatment instrument into a body includes an inner tube () having flexibility into which the treatment instrument is insertable, and an outer tube () having flexibility into which the inner tube () is insertable. Both end portions (B) of the inner tube () are formed of a hard material, and an intermediate portion (A) between both the end portions (B) is formed of a soft material.

Treatment-instrument insertion aid

A treatment-instrument insertion aid () for aiding insertion of a treatment-instrument into a body includes an outer tube () having flexibility including a plurality of guiding portions () circumferentially spaced apart on an inner peripheral surface and extend in an axial direction from a distal end to a proximal end, a plurality of rail members () having flexibility, extend in an axial direction from a distal end to a proximal end and include guided portions () to be engaged with the guiding portions () respectively, and an inner tube () having flexibility and includes an engaged portion () to be engaged with an engaging portion () formed between the inner peripheral surface of the outer tube () and the adjacent rail members (). The rail members () are fixed to a hard portion (B) nearest to the distal end side of the outer tube ().

A surgical tool insertion aid is provided which enables simultaneous use of multiple surgical tools, as well as the independent exchange of a surgical tool during surgery. A tubular surgical tool insertion aidaids insertion of surgical toolsandinto the body, and includes: an inner tubeinto which the surgical toolsandare insertable, and which is insertable into the surgical tool insertion aid; and a plurality of guide memberswhich are extended in the axial direction from a distal end side to a proximal end side in the inner peripheral surface of the surgical tool insertion aid. The inner tubeincludes, on the outer peripheral surface thereof, an engaging memberthat engages with the guide memberto be made slidable.
