An air conditioning apparatus includes utilization-side units each including a first refrigerant circuit, a heat source-side unit including a second refrigerant circuit, a connection pipe group, and a relay unit. The relay unit is disposed between the first refrigerant circuit and the second refrigerant circuit, and blocks a flammable refrigerant flowing through the connection pipe group. The utilization-side units are disposed in a utilization-side unit group that is a group of two or more utilization-side units. The relay unit blocks a flow of the refrigerant between the first refrigerant circuit and the second refrigerant circuit. The connection pipe group connects the first refrigerant circuit and the refrigerant shut-off unit. The connection pipe group has one or both of a length and an internal volume, which is fixed based on information on capabilities of the two utilization-side units.

Refrigerant cycle system and method

A support system includes a display and a server. Upon acquiring first information on arrangement of a first refrigerant shut-off unit, second information on each of utilization-side units in a first utilization-side unit group, and third information on one of or both a length and an internal volume of the first connection pipe group, the server determines, based on an allowable leakage amount of the refrigerant into a space where a corresponding one or more utilization-side units is installed, whether the first, second, and third information are suitable for the design, and causes the display to display a result of the determination; or the server calculates a first refrigerant amount as a sum of an amount of the refrigerant in the first refrigerant circuit and an amount of the refrigerant, and causes the display to display the first refrigerant amount.

Support system that supports design or construction of a refrigerant cycle apparatus

A water regulator includes a water regulation valve, a first temperature sensor, a second temperature sensor, and a controller. The water regulation valve regulates a quantity of water flowing through water pipes. The first temperature sensor measures a temperature of one of the water pipes which is connected to an inlet of a heat exchanger. The second temperature sensor measures a temperature of one of the water pipes which is connected to an outlet of the heat exchanger. The controller controls an opening degree of the water regulation valve, based on a difference between the temperature measured by the first temperature sensor and the temperature measured by the second temperature sensor.

An air conditioner is provided with a plurality of outdoor heat source units, an indoor unit, a liquid refrigerant communication pipe and gas refrigerant communication pipe, and a controller. Each heat source unit has a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, and an accumulator. The indoor unit has an indoor expansion valve and an indoor heat exchanger. The controller starts an other of the heat source units in a stopped state when it is determined that the amount of refrigerant is excessive in a first heat source unit in an operating state.

Heat source unit

After the power source to the control substrate is turned on, power is supplied to the compressor driver and the fan driver. Then, when it is determined that an indoor unit is in operation, the compressor driver and the fan driver are operated. Meanwhile, when it is determined that the indoor unit is not in operation, after the lapse of ten minutes or twenty minutes under a predetermined setting, the power to the compressor driver and the fan driver is cut. When the operation of the indoor unit is started again, power is supplied to the compressor driver and the fan driver.

Load driving device, outdoor unit of air conditioner, and driving method of load

An air conditioning apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit and an operation control section. The operation control section is capable of performing a refrigeration cycle for causing an outdoor heat exchanger to function as a refrigerant condenser and an indoor heat exchanger to function as a refrigerant evaporator, while performing superheat degree control for controlling the aperture of an indoor expansion valve so that the degree of superheat of the refrigerant at the outlet from the indoor heat exchanger is constant. The operation control section means sets a lower aperture limit for the indoor expansion valve to perform the superheat degree control, and reduces the lower aperture limit when the refrigerant at the outlet from the indoor heat exchanger is detected to be wet.

An outdoor control unit includes a first control unit, a second control unit, and a switching unit. The outdoor control unit controls the rotational speed of an outdoor fan. The first control unit executes a first control for controlling the rotational speed of the outdoor fan based on the operation frequency of the compressor. The second control unit executes a second control for controlling the rotational speed of the outdoor fan based on a parameter other than the operation frequency of the compressor. The switching unit executes a switching control for switching between the first control and the second control according to a predetermined switching condition, when a cooling mode is being operated under a low outside air condition. The low outside air condition refers to a state that the outside air temperature is lower than a first temperature.

An air conditioner is provided that is capable of allowing an operator to know, during a refrigerant charging operation using a cylinder, that the refrigerant cylinder is emptied without using a scale or the like. An air conditioner in which the refrigerant is charged using a cylinder containing the refrigerant includes a refrigerant circuit, a charge port, a downstream temperature sensor, an outdoor side controller, and a display unit. The refrigerant circuit is configured by the interconnection of a compressor, an outdoor side heat exchanger, an indoor side expansion valve, and an indoor side heat exchanger. The charge port is a port for charging the refrigerant into the refrigerant circuit from the cylinder. The downstream temperature sensor is provided in the vicinity of the charge port of the refrigerant circuit. The outdoor side controller judges whether or not the cylinder is emptied based on a change in at least one of a temperature detected by the downstream temperature sensor or a superheating degree. The display unit performs output when it is judged by the outdoor side controller that the cylinder is emptied.
