A structure for cooling a rotating electrical machine includes: an oil pump, a supply oil passage connected to a discharge port of the oil pump, and a first oil passage that is an oil passage located above a stator of the rotating electrical machine in a vertical direction and that has a supplied portion, a discharge hole, and a discharge portion. The supplied portion is connected to the supply oil passage. The discharge hole is formed on a first side in an axial direction, which is one side in the axial direction of the rotating electrical machine with respect to the supplied portion and is configured to discharge oil toward the stator. The discharge portion is formed on the first side with respect to the discharge hole. A second oil passage is formed inside a rotor shaft to which a rotor of the rotating electrical machine is fixed, and a third oil passage connects the discharge portion of the first oil passage and the second oil passage. The third oil passage is formed along a first wall of the case which is located on the first side with respect to the rotating electrical machine.

Structure for cooling rotating electrical machine and vehicle drive device

A power transmission device for a vehicle configured with a rotary power member, and a mechanism configured with a plurality of operational states. A switching shaft changes the operational state of the operating mechanism and is moved by an electric actuator. A control transmission transmits the power from the actuator to the shaft. The housing for the rotary member includes is configured so that the switching shaft projects outwards from the housing. The electric actuator is arranged at a location facing, of a surface of the housing portion of the case, a portion that does not overlap another portion where the switching shaft projects, when viewed in the axial direction of the rotational axis of the rotary member. A part of the actuator is arranged on a case side relative to a vertical line passing through the portion where the switching shaft projects from the housing portion of the case.

Power transmission device

A vehicle drive device configured with reduced axial dimensions, while still having appropriate lubrication. The vehicle drive device is configured with an input shaft coupled to an engine, a rotary electric machine, and an output shaft coupled to wheels. A power transfer mechanism couples input shaft, the rotary electric machine, and the output shaft. A case houses at least the rotary electric machine and the power transfer mechanism. An oil reserving portion capable of reserving oil supplied by rotation of the power transfer mechanism is provided above the rotor shaft inside the case. A communication oil passage is oriented between the oil reserving portion and an inner circumferential space formed inside the rotor shaft. The rotor shaft is disposed to be inserted into the inside housing space, and has a supply communication hole that communicates between the inner circumferential space and the inside housing space.

Vehicle drive device

A vehicle drive device configured with an input member coupled to an internal combustion engine, a rotary electric machine, an output member coupled to wheels, and a power transfer mechanism that drivably couples the input member, the rotary electric machine, and the output member. An oil collecting portion is configured to collect oil supplied by rotation of the power transfer mechanism, The collected oil falling passage is configured to cause the oil collected by the oil collecting portion to flow downward to be supplied to a portion of a facing wall surface located above a cylindrical member. A communication oil passage communicates between the gap and the inside housing space is formed at a portion of abutment between the subject support bearing and the support projecting portion.

A drive device in which a driving force transfer mechanism is accommodated in a case that includes a main body portion having an opening portion and a cover portion attached to the opening portion, and the cover portion is provided with an oil pump. The drive device is configured with a pump cover attached to a case inner surface of the cover portion, which forms an inner surface of the case, such that the pump cover is accommodated in a case internal space surrounded by the main body portion and the cover portion. A pump chamber of the oil pump is formed by a recess that is formed in at least one of a mating surface of the cover portion and a mating surface of the pump cover in a bonding portion between the cover portion and the pump cover.

Drive device

A planetary gear train includes a carrier having a first side plate, a second side plate disposed in parallel to the first side plate and pinions rotatably supported by the first and second side plates; and a ring member secured to an outer edge of the second side plate. The first side plate has a plurality of first convex portions whose edge portion form an outer edge and a plurality of first concave portions formed between adjacent first convex portions. The second side plate has a plurality of second convex portions whose edge portion form an outer edge and whose width in a peripheral direction is wider than the first convex portion, and a plurality of carrier bridges axially extended from a part between the plurality of second convex portions to the plurality of first concave portions and secured to the first concave portion.
