A hypertext displaying apparatus in which when a link destination indicated in stored data is designated, a processing section instructs a transmission/reception section to download hypertext data at the link destination. Additionally, the processing section instructs a history storage section to register an identifier of the currently-displayed stored data. If a user indicates a 'previous content' instruction, the processing section reads from a stored information storage section the stored data corresponding to the identifier registered in the history information storage section, so that the stored data is displayed on a screen.

A hypertext displaying apparatus is provided. In a content retrieval device, a browser section generates a retrieval request for sub-content data to be retrieved presently. A protocol control section determines which communication path between a first communication path or a second communication path should be used prior to the reception of the sub-content data which is specified by the browser section. If the protocol control section determines that the first communication path is to be used, a first communication control section receives the sub-content data which is specified by the browser section from a content server. If the protocol control section determines that the second communication path is to be used, a second communication control section receives the sub-content data from the content server. In this way, the content retrieval device can select a suitable connection method prior to the reception of data.

A radio communication system for performing communications between a base station and mobile stations by Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) with a certain number of time slots in a frame. The caller personal station of the present invention includes the following units: a channel search unit for scanning the plurality of communication channels to search for an unoccupied channel and regarding the unoccupied channel as a multicast channel; and a simultaneous call unit for repeatedly transmitting a simultaneous call frame on the multicast channel for a first predetermined time period, the simultaneous call frame indicating a simultaneous call to the other personal stations; a multicast unit for transmitting multicast frames on the multicast channel when a second predetermined time period has passed, the multicast frames containing data to be multicast. On receiving the simultaneous call frame by sequentially sensing the plurality of communication channels, the other personal stations enter a receiving state of multicast frames on the multicast channel. The simultaneous call unit includes the following units: a simultaneous call frame generation unit for generating the simultaneous call frame; a transmission timer for counting the first predetermined time period and generating a time-out; and a simultaneous call frame transmission unit for repeatedly transmitting the simultaneous call frame on the multicast channel from a start of counting the predetermined time period until the time-out is generated.
