According to one embodiment, an electromagnetic flowmeter includes a tube, a lining, at least one protrusion, and a pair of electrodes. A fluid to be measured flows in the tube. The lining covers an inner surface of the tube. The protrusion protrudes from the inner surface and includes a hook for hooking the lining.

An electromagnetic flow meter provided with a resin lining portion has a lining locking frame composed of a cylindrical plate with openings and a plurality of belt shaped ring plates. The cylindrical plate with openings is provided with not less than two cutout portions from an end which are provided alternately from the both ends in the pipe axis direction and so as to lap in the pipe axis direction. A first gap is provided between the inner face of the measuring pipe and the outer circumference face of the cylindrical plate with openings. The resin to be lined is filled between the measuring pipe and the lining locking frame via gaps formed by the cutout portions.

A cleaning quality control device to automatically determine cleaning quality as to whether or not cleaning has been completed from a detection signal of the electromagnetic flow meter, the cleaning quality control device includes, an S/N ratio measuring unit to measure an S/N ratio of the detection signal, and a cleaning completion determining unit which is provided with an S/N ratio&#x2022;electric conductivity determining table in which outputs of the S/N ratio measuring unit and respective electric conductivities of detergent drains are previously made correspondent using the detergent drains with predetermined electric conductivities, and which outputs cleaning completion when an obtained electric conductivity thereof becomes not more than a predetermined electric conductivity, and obtains the electric conductivity of the detergent drain from a value of the S/N ratio of the electromagnetic flow meter, and thereby automatically determines the cleaning quality as to whether or not cleaning has been completed.

An electromagnetic flow meter has a lining locking frame provided in a measuring pipe composed of a cylindrical plate with openings and a belt shaped spiral plate, and a resin lining portion embedded in the lining locking frame. The belt shaped spiral plate is spirally around the outer circumference of the cylindrical plate with openings. A first gap is set between the inner face of the measuring pipe and the outer circumference face of the cylindrical plate with openings, and the belt shaped plate forming the belt-shaped spiral plate is wound around the cylindrical plate with openings in the pipe axis direction of the measuring pipe with a prescribed interval so as to provide a spiral third gap. When pressure molding the resin lining portion, the resin can be filled in gaps between the measuring pipe and the lining locking frame via the first gap and the third gap.

The invention consists in a capacitative electromagnetic flow meter in which excitation is performed at a frequency above the commercially available frequency and having a characteristic correction filter that corrects the gain frequency characteristic of the exciting current such that the exciting flux waveform has a flat section. In the detection unit, the value of the electrostatic capacitance between the face electrodes A, B and guard electrodes A, B is made smaller than the value of the electrostatic capacitance between the detecting face electrodes A, B and the fluid to be measured. The exciting coils are fixed to a cylindrical yoke, being electrostatically screened by coil fixing plates. Fixing by an earth ring is performed with this cylindrical yoke and the two ends of the measurement tube being symmetrical with respect to the tube axis and electrode axes. In addition, fixing is effected by filling the entire interior of the detection unit with epoxy resin.

Capacitative electromagnetic flow meter

An electromagnetic flowmeter comprises a cylindrical support. A pair of coils are positioned at the outer surface of the cylindrical support, spaced approximately 180.degree. apart. The cylindrical support is coaxially mounted within a cylindrical magnetic path, which defines a space for the coils between the magnetic path and the cylindrical support. The magnetic path has two ends, each engaged by a flange. The flanges include bosses, which together with the cylindrical support and magnetic path serve to position the coils. A conduit is mounted within the support, and a housing encloses the support, the coils, and the conduit. The length of the housing is greater than the length of the conduit, defining a gap between the housing and the conduit.
