A multi-color luminous fluorescent display device includes therein a vacuum-sealed vessel having a glass substrate, an anode disposed on the glass substrate, a cathode installed in the vacuum-sealed vessel, a first phosphorescent layer containing a phosphor emitting yellow to red light, and a second phosphorescent layer containing a phosphor emitting blue to green light. The first phosphorescent layer contains a LnOS:Eu phosphor (Ln is at least one selected from a group consisting of La, Gd, Lu and Y) which emits yellow to red light, and the second phosphorescent layer contains at least one phosphor selected from ZnO:Zn phosphor, ZnGaOphosphor and ZnGaO:Mn phosphor which emit blue to green light.

Multi color luminous fluorescent display device

In a fluorescent display device wherein light is emitted by impinging a low speed electron beam on a phosphor layer formed on an anode, the phosphor layer comprises a compound containing W and/or a compound containing P, K and/or Na. The compound containing P, K and/or Na may be a compound selected from the group consisting of KPO, POand NaSiO, the compound being added in an amount of 0.01 to 10.00 wt % to the phosphor layer, to provide a higher luminance residual ratio and a higher high temperature exposure characteristic than those of a convention fluorescent display device.

Fluorescent display device and phosphor paste

A yellow light emission phosphor usable in a fluorescent display device does not include cadmium and Eu concentration in the yellow light emission phosphor is reduced to a range of about 0.001 mol % to about 0.1 mol %. The phosphor on a fluorescent display driven at a low voltage generates a yellow light emission with an excellent chromaticity and has a good life span characteristic.

Phosphor and flourescent display device

A phosphor without using cadmium having excellent luminous characteristic which emits a light in the visible region. The phosphor is prepared by mixing 1% of B O powder and 10% of In O with CaS:Eu, Ce phosphor to prepare a mixture to which is added vehicle containing an organic binder to form paste. The vacuum fluorescent display using the phosphor exhibits lifetime performance and initial luminance superior to the fluorescent display in which a phosphor without using cadmium is applied.

Phosphor, method for preparing phosphor layer and vacuum fluorescent display

A phosphor material of the chemical composition formula (Sr , Ca )TiO :Pr,Al, where the value of x&plus;y is in the range 0.001 to 0.05. Another phosphor material has the chemical composition formula SrTiO :Pr,Al, in which the surfaces of phosphor particles are diffused with a diffusing agent containing at least one of Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba. Still another phosphor material has the chemical composition formula SrTiO :Pr,Al, where Sr/Ti molar ratio is 0.88 to 0.99.
