When controlling the power generation state of a fuel cell stack based on a generated current command value, a control device sets the generated current command value based on a generated power command value and a generated voltage acquired by a voltage sensor such that the following expression is satisfied, regardless of whether a bleed valve is opened or closed: generated current command value=generated power command value/generated voltage.

Fuel cell system

The power supply system includes: a fuel cell, capable of generating power; a power storage device, storing power generated by the fuel cell; and a control device, controlling at least the fuel cell. The control device, under a tendency that power consumption of a load at least connected with the fuel cell and the power storage device decreases, determines a first lower limit power based on power generated by the fuel cell before a predetermined time, causes the fuel cell to generate second power equal to or greater than the first lower limit power when first power generated by the fuel cell determined based on a power supplied to the load drops below the first lower limit power, and determines the first lower limit power with a tendency that the greater the generated power, the greater a difference between the generated power and the first lower limit power is increased.

Power supply system, power supply method and non-transitory computer readable medium

An ECU of a fuel cell system determines whether or not temperature information exceeds a temperature threshold for determination when receiving a signal related to power generation stop of a fuel cell stack during operation of a moving body. When the temperature information exceeds the determination temperature threshold, the ECU performs a stop control for stopping power generation of the fuel cell stack. On the other hand, when the temperature information is equal to or lower than the determination temperature threshold, the ECU performs an idle control for generating electric power smaller than electric power consumed by the air pump.

A control unit estimates a discharged fuel gas amount, i.e., an amount of fuel gas discharged from the outlet of a cathode flow field, of a fuel exhaust gas introduced from a communication flow path to the inlet of the cathode flow field and then flowing through a cathode. The control unit calculates an oxygen-containing gas amount necessary for dilution at the time of discharge into the atmosphere, from the estimated discharged fuel gas amount, and sets a discharge amount of the air pump, based on the calculated oxygen-containing gas amount.

Fuel cell system and method of controlling the system

A drive upper limit electrical energy for an air compressor is set variably in correspondence with vehicle velocity Vv. In this manner, for example, surplus power generation electrical energy of a fuel cell stack is consumed (discarded) by the air compressor in a range where NV (noise and vibration) of the air compressor does not give passengers any sense of discomfort.

Fuel cell vehicle

A fuel cell system includes a FC, a TRC, an oxygen-containing gas supply apparatus, a battery, and an ECU. The ECU is capable of performing power consumption control which allows the oxygen-containing gas supply apparatus to consume electrical energy during regeneration of the TRC. The ECU is configured to determine a charge margin with respect to a charge limitation value of the battery, in a manner that the charge margin set after the power consumption control starts becomes smaller than the charge margin set before the power consumption control is performed.

A fuel cell system includes a fuel gas leakage sensor provided in a housing chamber to detect leakage of a fuel gas from a fuel cell to an inside of a housing chamber. Circuitry is configured to close at least one of a first valve and a second valve when the fuel gas leakage sensor detects the leakage of the fuel gas. The circuitry is configured to control the fuel cell to generate electric power using the fuel gas in the fuel cell while the at least one of the first valve device and the second valve device is closed when the fuel gas leakage sensor detects the leakage of the fuel gas.

Fuel cell system and method of operating the same

A fuel cell vehicle includes a fuel cell, a first electric component, a second electric component, a battery, a first switch, a second switch, and circuitry. The first electric component is to operate the fuel cell. The second electric component is not to be used to operate the fuel cell. The first switch is to electrically connect the first electric component to the battery to supply electric power from the battery to the first electric component. The second switch is to electrically connect the second electric component to the battery to supply electric power from the battery to the second electric component. The circuitry is configured to control the first switch to electrically connect the first electric component to the battery and to control the second switch not to electrically connect the second electric component to the battery when the fuel cell is started.

Fuel cell vehicle and method of operating the same

A fuel cell vehicle includes a lid, a switch, a sensor, and circuitry. The lid opens and closes a fuel inlet through which fuel gas is to be supplied to a tank. The switch takes an opening position to open the lid and a closing position to close the lid. The sensor detects whether the lid opens or closes the fuel inlet. The circuitry is configured to prohibit the fuel cell vehicle from travelling when the sensor detects that the lid opens the fuel inlet while the switch takes the opening position.
