A biodegradable resin bottle having a container wall () including a biodegradable resin and having a vacuum-evaporated film () formed on the inner surface of the container wall () by a plasma CVD method. The vacuum-evaporated film () includes a first hydrocarbon vacuum-evaporated layer () positioned on the inner surface of the container wall and a second hydrocarbon vacuum-evaporated layer () formed on the above hydrocarbon vacuum-evaporated layer (). The first hydrocarbon vacuum-evaporated layer () has polar groups introduced therein. The second hydrocarbon vacuum-evaporated layer () exhibits hydrocarbon peaks stemming from CH, CHand CHin a region of wave numbers of 3200 to 2600 cmas measured by FT-IR, has a CHratio of not larger than 35% and a CHratio of not smaller than 40% per the sum of CH, CHand CHcalculated from the hydrocarbon peaks, and has no polar group introduced therein.

Biodegradable resin container with a vacuum-evaporated film and method of forming a vacuum-evaporated film

A plastic formed article comprising a plastic substrate and a vapor deposited film formed on the surface of the plastic substrate by a plasma CVD method, wherein the vapor deposited film includes an organometal vapor deposited layer having an element ratio C/Si of 2.5 to 13 and an element ratio O/M of not larger than 0.5, and a hydrocarbon vapor deposited layer; and the hydrocarbon vapor deposited layer has a thickness in a range of 40 to 180 nm, exhibits peaks stemming from CH, CHand CHover a region of wave numbers of 3200 to 2600 cmas measured by FT-IR, and has a CHratio of not larger than 35% and a CHratio of not less than 40%. A film is deposited on a plastic formed article without deteriorated by oxidation, without thermally deformed or without thermally deteriorated not only when PET or polyolefin is used but also when polylactic acid is used as the plastic substrate.

Plastic formed articles having a vapor deposited film and method of producing the same

A stretch mold container of the present invention is obtained by draw-forming a resin composition containing a poly-L-lactic acid (A) and a poly-D-lactic acid (B) at a molar ratio A:B in a range of 95:5 to 60:40, and has an amount of heat shrinkage of 5.0% or less under heat treatment conditions of 65&#xb0; C.&#xd7;24 hours. Despite of being made from the polylactic acids, the stretch mold container exhibits excellent heat resistance.

A resin composition comprising a saturated polyester resin consisting chiefly of a hydroxyalkanoate unit, a heat-moldable hydroxyl group-containing resin having a vinyl alcohol unit, and an alkaline earth metal carbonate, a molded article composed of this resin composition and, particularly, a container and a multi-layer plastic container having an outer layer formed of this resin composition and an inner layer of a resin consisting chiefly of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. The resin composition and the molded articles thereof exhibit not only excellent mechanical properties but also excellent bio-disintegrating property.
