A liquid ejection head includes a plurality of nozzles arranged along a first direction of an ejection surface, a plurality of pressure chambers communicating with the plurality of individual nozzles and provided with actuators configured to apply, to a liquid, pressures for ejecting the liquid from the nozzles, a plurality of discrete flow paths communicating with the plurality of individual pressure chambers, a common flow path communicating with the plurality of individual discrete flow paths via discrete opening portions and extending in the first direction, and a damper mechanism disposed to face the common flow path in a direction crossing the ejection surface to absorb a pressure fluctuation in the liquid in the common flow path. The common flow path is provided with a partition wall disposed between the discrete opening portions adjacent in the first direction to extend in the direction crossing the ejection surface.

Liquid ejection head

A liquid ejection head includes: an ejection port array being an array of ejection ports; a plurality of pressure chambers corresponding respectively to the ejection ports and communicating with the ejection ports; individual supply channels and individual collection channels communicating with the pressure chambers; a common supply channel communicating with surfaces of the individual supply channels opposite to surfaces thereof communicating with the pressure chambers; a common collection channel communicating with surfaces of the individual collection channels opposite to surfaces thereof communicating with the pressure chambers; and a damper member forming a wall of a part of at least one of the common supply channel or the common collection channel. The common supply channel and the common collection channel are formed so as to extend in a first direction along the ejection port array, and are disposed side by side in a second direction crossing the ejection port array.

A liquid ejection head and liquid ejection apparatus are capable of reducing or preventing a decrease in image quality without increasing the chip size. To achieve this, a configuration is employed in which a bonding layer is not provided between a liquid supply substrate and channel partitions between common supply channels and common collection channels, and a minute communication portion is provided there.

A liquid ejection head including an ejection port forming part, a flow path forming part including a liquid chamber, and an individual supply flow path configured to supply liquid to the liquid chamber, and a substrate including a supply flow path configured to supply liquid to the individual supply flow path and an outflow flow path configured to cause liquid to flow out of the liquid chamber, wherein a height of the individual supply flow path is larger than a height from a surface of the liquid chamber facing the ejection port to the ejection port forming member, and when viewed from the direction perpendicular to the surface of the substrate, a sidewall surface of the liquid chamber on a side with the supply flow path (1) coincides with an end surface of the ejection port, or (2) is disposed within the ejection port.

A liquid ejection head includes a print element substrate including multiple ejection openings, pressure chambers, a common flow path, and pumps, the pumps being configured to circulate liquid between the common flow path and the pressure chamber; and a flow path member laminated to the print element substrate. The flow path member includes a supply flow path and a collection flow path, the supply flow path being configured to supply liquid to the print element substrate, and the collection flow path being configured to collect liquid that is not ejected. The supply flow path and the collection flow path have liquid connection with the same common flow path. A circulating pump generates a flow of liquid flowing in an order of the supply flow path, the common flow path, and the collection flow path, the circulating pump being provided at a position different from the print element substrate.

A liquid ejection head, a liquid ejection apparatus, and a liquid ejection method are capable of sufficiently suppressing the thickening of a liquid in an ejection orifice. The liquid ejection head includes a pressure chamber, a channel in which a liquid is caused to flow through the pressure chamber, an ejection orifice communicating with the pressure chamber, and an ejection energy generation element configured to eject the liquid in the pressure chamber from the ejection orifice. A meniscus of the liquid is formed at an end portion of the ejection orifice communicating with the pressure chamber.

Liquid ejection head, liquid ejection apparatus, and liquid ejection method

In a liquid ejection head, ejection orifices can be densely arranged while suppressing decrease in liquid flow speed. A channel extending through a pressure chamber extends in a direction crossing an ejection orifice array such that a liquid flows between the two ends of the channel located on the sides of the ejection orifice array.

Liquid ejection head, liquid ejection apparatus, and liquid supply method

A liquid ejection head includes a pair of electrodes disposed on a first surface of a substrate forming part of a flow path for a liquid. The electrodes of the pair of electrodes are adjacent to each other in a transverse direction of the electrodes, and the liquid moves in the transverse direction upon application of a voltage across the electrodes. The electrodes each include a ridge portion disposed on the first surface and an electrode wiring line connected to a power source for applying the voltage. The electrode wiring line covers an upper surface of the ridge portion and side surfaces of the ridge portion and extends from parts covering the side surfaces of the ridge portion to a downstream side and an upstream side with respect to a direction in which the liquid moves, so as to cover the first surface.

Liquid ejection head and method for manufacturing the same

A liquid ejection head can stably eject a liquid from an ejection port by mitigating thickening of the liquid by evaporation from the ejection port. The liquid ejection head has a support substrate; a liquid chamber arranged on the support substrate and provided with an energy generating element for generating energy necessary for ejection of a liquid and an ejection port from which the liquid is ejected; and a circulation flow path of the liquid that passes through the liquid chamber. The liquid ejection head further has a first circulating element that forms a first circulatory flow in the circulation flow path; and a second circulating element that forms a second circulatory flow inside the liquid chamber and a driving frequency of the first circulating element is lower than a driving frequency of the second circulating element.

Liquid ejection head and control method of liquid ejection head

According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, to improve a layout efficiency of an element substrate to be integrated in a printhead and reduce a production cost of the element substrate, a driving method and a size of a first driver transistor used for driving a first heater for ink circulation and a driving method and a size of a second driver transistor used for driving a second heater for discharging ink to print are optimized, respectively. More specifically, the first driver transistor and the second driver transistor have multi-finger configurations, gate widths of the multi-finger configurations are equal to each other, and the number of fingers forming each first driver transistor is different from the number of fingers forming each second driver transistor.

A liquid ejection head including: a substrate; an energy generating element, which is provided on the substrate and is utilized to eject liquid; a first film provided on the energy generating element; a flow path forming member, which has an ejection orifice from which the liquid is ejected and forms a flow path of the liquid between the substrate and the flow path forming member; and an electrode, which generates a flow of the liquid, wherein the electrode includes the first film.

Liquid ejection head and method of manufacturing the same

A liquid ejection head is manufactured by forming on a substrate an energy generating element for ejecting a liquid, an integrated circuit for driving the energy generating element, a supply port for the liquid so as to penetrate through the substrate, an electrode for generating a liquid flow, and a flow path forming member having an ejection orifice for ejecting the liquid such that a flow path for the liquid is formed between the substrate and the flow path forming member. The electrode is formed over high and low of a stepped shape formed on the substrate in at least one step selected from the steps of forming the energy generating element, forming the integrated circuit and forming the supply port.
