A sheet detection device includes a sheet guide between a sheet feeding opening into which a sheet is to be inserted and a printing mechanism for printing on the sheet, the sheet guide including a guide surface through which the sheet is to pass, a sheet detector including an optical sensor configured to detect a predetermined position of the sheet, an opening defined in the guide surface, the sheet detector being inside the opening and the optical sensor being exposed through the opening, and a transparent guide cover configured in the guide surface to cover at least a first border position between the sheet detector and the opening on an upstream side in a sheet transport direction.

Sheet detection device and printer

In a printer having a housing forming a substantially box shape; a pair of frames disposed in the housing and arranged such that the frames oppose each other across a conveyance path of a recording medium; a cutout portion disposed at an upper end of each of the frames; and a shaft that while inserted inside a winding core on which long paper is wound into a roll shape, both ends of the shaft are supported by the cutout portions and the shaft holds the paper while allowing the paper to be pulled out from the housing; an exterior cover is disposed in the housing. The exterior cover is formed using an insulating material, has openings that open the cutout portions exteriorly, and covers the pair of the frames with the cutout portions opened exteriorly through the openings.

Printer

A printer includes a printing unit having a platen roller, a power unit including a stepping motor and a gear train, a cutting unit provided at a further downstream of a forward direction than the platen roller to cut a paper at a predetermined position, the forward direction in which the paper printed by the printing unit is fed by the forward rotation of the platen roller, and a control unit to control the driving of the stepping motor and the operation of the cutting unit. The control circuit controls the platen roller to rotate forward and place a certain portion of the paper at a predetermined position of the cutting unit on standby for a predetermined time, then controls the cutting unit to cut the paper, and after the cutting, controls the platen roller to rotate forward by a minimal number of steps necessary to remove backlash.

Printer and paper feeding method for printer device

It is an object to provide a method of manufacturing a core of a cuff for blood pressure meter and a cuff for blood pressure meter in order to improve operability during the insertion and removal of an arm and fittability during the tightening of the arm as well as to enable the reduction of manufacturing costs. A cuff for blood pressure meter () has an air bag (), and a core () disposed outside the air bag (). The core () includes a flexible sheet-like first core () and a second core () which is formed into a curved shape and which is attached to and stacked on the first core () and which curves the first core ().

Method of manufacturing core of cuff for blood pressure meter and cuff for blood pressure meter

It is an object to provide a cuff for blood pressure meter wherein a tightening mechanism and a holding mechanism have structures with good mechanical strength to enable the improvement of durability and a size reduction, fittability to an arm is improved to achieve higher accuracy of a blood pressure measurement, and operability can be improved. A cuff for blood pressure meter () comprises a tightening mechanism () for tightening a flexible cuff (), and a holding mechanism () for holding the tightening position of the tightened flexible cuff (). The tightening mechanism () includes a rack () formed in a tightening belt (), and a pinion gear (). When the pinion gear () is rotated, the rack () is moved in a tightening direction. The holding mechanism () includes holding holes () formed at a plurality of positions in the longitudinal direction of the tightening belt (), and holding pins () which engage into the holding holes (). The holding pins () engage in the holding holes () so that the tightening position of the tightened flexible cuff () is held.

Cuff for blood pressure meter

It is an object to provide a blood pressure monitor, wherein the noise caused by the friction of overlapping parts of a cuff can be inhibited during automatic elevation in the cuff pressure, and reliability in the automatic elevation of cuff pressure can be significantly enhanced. A cuff () is used in a blood pressure monitor to measure a blood pressure in a rolled condition where one end of the cuff () is wound within the other end thereof, wherein a cushion member () made of a raised fabric () is provided in at least one of surfaces at one end and the other end of the cuff () which rub against each other.

A paper ejector unit includes a paper path having a first path, a second path provided in a lower position than the first path, and a guide provided between the first and second paths and including an inclined face to restrict an upward deflection of the paper in transporting the paper forward to the exit slot. An opening is formed downward at a forward back end of the second, and a reversible transportation roller assembly is in the middle of the second path, configured to be rotated forward to transport the paper forward to the exit slot, to stop rotating to stop transporting the paper, and to be reversely rotated to withdraw the paper having been transported to the exit slot. A third path branches downward from the second path and is provided near a forward upstream side of the reversible transportation roller assembly in order to recover the paper.

Paper ejector unit

A printer () comprises a printing section () and paper roll holder () located beside or under the printing section. The paper roll holder () has a receiving portion () supporting a paper roll () from below and a drawer portion (). A guide member () that acts on a paper sheet is located between the receiving portion () and the drawer portion (). The paper sheet between the receiving portion () and the drawer portion () is inclined to a horizontal side by the guide member ().

In a printer, a sheet discharge port for discharging a sheet therefrom is provided on the upper surface of an exterior case, and a recess portion for preventing invasion of a foreign material into the sheet discharge port is formed in the neighborhood of the sheet discharge port. The recess portion passes by the sheet discharge port, and at least one of the ends thereof is opened to the side surface of the exterior case. The side surface of the exterior case to which the open end of the recess portion is adjacent forms a foreign material discharging passage along which a foreign material discharged from the open end of the recess portion falls down without invading the printer.

A needle guide () is composed of a first guide wall () and a second guide wall () arranged at a distance x from each other. Each of these guide walls is formed with through holes through which needles penetrate and which extends parallel to the longitudinal direction of a needle bunch, the through holes of the first guide wall and the second guide wall for one needle is shifted from each other in the convergence direction of the needles with a shift amount &#x3b4;n determined by the distance x and a convergence angle &#x3b8;n of the needle.

Print head

A guide member () is disposed between a body chassis () of a disk driving apparatus () and an electric connection wire (). The guide member () moves together with a tray () to prevent the body chassis () and the electric connection wire () from coming into contact with each other and moving. In a state in which the tray () is sufficiently pulled out from the body chassis (), the guide member () projects from the tray () to prevent the electric connection wire () from coming into contact with the body chassis ().

Disk apparatus having a support member

A disk drive device () comprises a body chassis () and a tray () movable relative to the body chassis (). The body chassis () is provided with a stage () at one side thereof, which is higher than the central bottom face. On the other hand, a part of the disk protective portion () of the tray (), which overlaps the stage (), is cut out at its rear end () in an arc shape. As a result, the disk protective portion () covers the whole area of a disk () and, at the same time, forms a large space between it and the front end () of the stage ().

Disk drive device

A disk drive apparatus according to the present invention includes a horizontal guide mechanism and a vertical guide mechanism, which are disposed between a frame () and a slider () for slidably guiding the slider (). The horizontal guide mechanism includes an engaging piece () disposed in at least one of the frame () and the slider () and an engaging hole (), which is disposed in the other and is engaged with the engaging piece (). One of the frame () and the slider (), in which the engaging piece () is formed, is made of a metallic sheet material while the engaging piece () is formed by bending part of the metallic sheet material. Forming the engaging piece () by bending part of the metallic sheet material in such a manner simplifies the structure of the disk drive apparatus according to the present invention so that the fabrication is facilitated, enabling fabricating cost to be reduced.

If a floppy disk ( ) is inserted into a disk drive unit, a link member ( ) rotates due to the movement of the floppy disk ( ), and a slide piece ( ) recedes from under a projecting piece ( ) of an upper head support arm ( ). In consequence, the distal end of the upper head support arm ( ) descends, so that an upper head which is mounted on the distal end of the upper head support arm approaches a lower head which is mounted on the distal end of a lower head support arm.
