A casing of the present disclosure includes a casing main body and a connecting flange. The casing main body covers an outer circumferential side of a rotor that rotates about an axis. The connecting flange extends from an outer circumferential portion of the casing main body toward the outer circumferential side, is provided along a circumferential direction around the axis and is connected to a member other than the connecting flange in an axial direction that is an extension direction of the axis. The connecting flange is cut out in an upper end portion or a horizontal end portion of the connecting flange.

The power generating apparatus of renewable energy type is provided with: a rotor having a hub and a main shaft, the hub having at least one blade mounted thereon, the main shaft being coupled to the hub; a generator which generates power by torque inputted from the rotor; and a hydraulic transmission which transmits the torque from the rotor to the generator. A brake disc is fixed to the rotor by tightening together with the hub and the main shaft. A brake caliper is provided to force a brake pad against the brake disc to apply a braking force to the rotor.

A wind turbine generator includes a tower, at least one blade, a hub supporting the blade, a nacelle supported by the tower and having a duct part with an intake port and an exhaust port, and a heat exchanger provided in the duct part and cooling a cooling medium for a heat-producing component inside the tower or nacelle. The wall of the nacelle has a double wall structure constituted of an inner wall and an outer wall in an area where the duct part is provided. The inner wall forms a bottom surface of the duct part and has a curved portion which curves inward toward a center line of the nacelle with increasing distance from the hub. The duct part increases in cross-section from a side of the intake port to a side of the exhaust port at least in an area where the curved portion is formed.

A power generating apparatus includes a rotating shaft, a hydraulic pump driven by the rotating shaft, a hydraulic motor driven by operating oil supplied from the hydraulic pump; and a generator coupled to the hydraulic motor. The apparatus further includes an oil line connected to the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor for circulating the operating oil between the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor, an oil cooler connected to the oil line for cooling the operating oil by heat exchange with a cooling medium, a cooling-medium line supplying the cooling medium to the oil cooler; a bypass line diverging from at least one of the oil line and the cooling-medium line and merging into at least one of the oil line and the cooling-medium line to bypass the oil cooler; and a flow regulating valve in at least one of the oil line and the cooling-medium line.

A power generating apparatus of renewable energy includes a tower, a nacelle provided at the tower, a main shaft housed in the nacelle and rotating with a blade, a hydraulic pump housed in the nacelle and connected to the main shaft, a hydraulic motor driven by operating oil supplied from the hydraulic pump, a generator connected to the hydraulic motor, and a piping between the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor. In the power generating apparatus of renewable energy type, a hydraulic pump inside the nacelle and a hydraulic motor near a base end part of a tower are connected by a first double pipe and a second double pipe. The first double pipe is rotatably connected to the second double pipe. The first double pipe includes a first inner pipe and a first outer pipe. The second double pipe includes a second inner pipe and a second outer pipe. The first and second inner pipes communicate with each other to form an inner passage. The first and second outer pipes communicate with each other to form an outer passage.
