A rotation-braking damper comprises a housing formed of a cap and a case, a shaft provided at the external end thereof with a toothed wheel and inserted on the internal end thereof into the housing, a disk fastened to the internal end of the inserted shaft, and a lock washer disposed inside the housing as held in contact with the disk. By the lock washer, the shaft in rotation is braked against the cap. The damper of this invention produces a desired braking effect on an opening-closing object such as a lid. The damper can be constructed with a small number of component parts.

A fastening means for a rearview mirror in an automobile interior, which comprises a fastening base formed on the supporting arm of the rearview mirror and a fitting member for securing the fastening base on the automobile body by using a setscrew. The fitting member is provided with a flange-shaped engaging portion having thin-walled portions which is readily broken under an impact which is caused by colliding a human body into the rearview mirror in case of an accidental sudden deceleration of the automobile for example, thereby to permit the mirror to fall off the automobile body.

A link rod connector is formed to have two sections connected by a resilient hinge and each section is provided with a semicylindrical leg portion having a resilient catch. In use, the sections are closed onto each other to retain a link rod therebetween in such a manner that the link rod is rotatable within the sections but cannot be extracted therefrom, and then the cylindrical leg formed by the semicylindrical leg portions is inserted into a hole in a link arm so that the link rod is rotatable with respect thereto.

A plastic buckle comprises an obverse half buckle member provided with an engaging piece and snap engaging means and a reverse half buckle member provided at the positions corresponding to those of the first half buckle member with surface portions adapted to be caught by the engaging piece and snapping engaging means. These two half buckle members are assembled into one complete buckle by fastening the surface portions to the engaging portion and rotating the two half buckle members toward each other with the point of contact thereof serving as the fulcrum of rotation until they come into fast union.

A fastener constituting an essential part of a fixing structure for fastening a radiator grille to an automobile body is provided on one side of the base plate portion thereof with fastening means for engagement with the automobile body and on the other side of the base plate portion with fastening means for engagement with the radiator grille and additionally with a rib in a position surrounding the radiator grille fastening means which rib is tightly accommodated into a recess formed in the radiator grille fastening portion. This arrangement gives the fastener enhanced resistance to various forms of stress that may be exerted on the radiator grille in use.

Radiator grille fixing structure

A radiator grille fixing structure comprises a plurality of fasteners which are each composed of a base plate and engaging means formed one each on the opposite sides of the base plate, with at least one of the two engaging means containing a shank portion of increased wall thickness and a flexible arm extended from the leading end of the shank portion and provided with an engaging step portion. In this structure, at least one of the plurality of fasteners is disposed in a direction opposite the direction in which the remaining fasteners are disposed. This fixing structure, when used as the medium for the union between a radiator grille and an automobile body, withstands all external forces exerted upon the radiator grille during the travel of the automobile.

The fixture part on a radiator grille to be fixed to an automobile body is formed of a plate member incorporating a retaining step therein, while the fastener to be fastened to the fixture part is formed of an engaging arm incorporating an engaging claw for attachment to the retaining step in the plate member of the fixture part and pinching members adapted to cooperate with said engaging arm to squeeze the plate member of the fixture part of the grille. When the grille is fastened to the automobile body by use of the fastener, occurrence of play in the portion of engagement is completely precluded.

Fixing structure for radiator grille

A buckle comprises a receptacle member and an insertion member which are easily united and disunited. The receptacle member includes an engaging portion and a socket of a construction capable of admitting the insertion member. The insertion member includes a central piece, a pair of guide pieces connected to the leading end of the central piece and separated by slits from the upper and lower ends of the central piece, and an complimentary portion which when brought into engagement with the engaging portion of the receptacle member thereby retains the two members in an inextricably united state. The disunion of the two members is easily accomplished by inwardly pressing the portion of the insertion member fastened to the belt end toward the user's abdomen.

In a radiator grille fixing structure having a radiator grille fixing fastener formed of a base plate portion, engaging means provided one each on the opposite sides of the base plate portion and a screw hole bored in the base plate, and a fixing portion of a radiator grille, which fixing portion is provided with a fitting hole for admitting one of the engaging means in the width direction and a perforation provided at a position opposed to the aforementioned screw hole; either the screw hole in the fastener or the perforation in the fitting portion of the radiator grille is elongated in the width direction of the fastener or the fitting portion, permitting the radiator grille which has been brought into temporary attachment to the automobile body through the medium of the aforementioned fastener to be given fine positional adjustment and brought to its exact position relative to the automobile body and finally fixed at that exact position.

A molding clip assemblage for mounting a molding about the periphery of a windshield of the type comprising a base plate adapted to be attached to the peripheral edge of the window frame and a plurality of clips adapted to be attached to the base plate at predetermined intervals, the base plate having a recessed part for accommodating the lower part of the clips, the clips being provided with a retaining claw for retaining the outer edge of the molding, with a retaining mechanism for preventing the clip from being extracted from the recessed part of the base after being accommodated therein, and with an operable release member for releasing the engagement of the retaining mechanism, whereby the molding retained by the clips can be released therefrom by manipulating the operable release member.

A plastic retaining-fastening device comprising a retaining piece adapted to be wrapped around an article subjected to fastening and a pair of leg segments adapted so as to form one leg with check claws for insertion into a fitting hole bored in a given support plate on being juxtaposed to and pressed against each other, the improvement including having the retaining piece provided at the opposite ends; operating means adapted to release the check claws from their fast engagement with the edges of the fitting hole in the support plate. Owing to this improvement, the device once fastened to the support plate can be released from the support plate by actuating the operating means directly from the front side of the support plate.

A device for fixing a pipe, rod or other elongated object to a panel etc. which constitutes a part of an automobile etc. In use a fixing device according to this invention is finger-pushed to put it in a provisionally fixed position in which said elongated object is free to move lengthwise, thus permitting, for instance, the tightening of said elongated body. Then, the fixing device is again finger-pressed to put in it in a final and completely fixing position.

A bottle carrier comprising a main carrier body substantially of the shape of a plate, retaining parts each formed of a pair of opposed arms and extended outwardly from the corners of the longitudinal edges of the main carrier body, legs extended from the opposite longitudinal edges of the main carrier body and allowed to thrust out through spaces intervening between the leading ends of the respective arms, and separators formed one each at the tips of the legs, with all the aforementioned component parts formed within one substantially flat plate, the arms having the respective leading portions thereof bent arcuately in the backward direction to form engaging pieces, the legs having the respective basal portions thereof formed in a decreased wall thickness to give rise to hinge portions, whereby the barrel portions of bottles are brought into contact with the separators and the neck portions of the bottles are wrapped by the arms and fastened by the engaging pieces so as to bind the bottles to each other.

Disclosed is a cylindrical closed strainer molded of a plastic in a unitary structure, which comprises a top plate, a bottom plate disposed opposite said top plate at a fixed interval therefrom and a cylindrical net stretched between the peripheries of said top plate and bottom plate, said top plate being possessed of snap fastening means on the upper surface thereof and provided with a through hole which has a diameter larger than the outside diameter of a suction pipe intended to be connected with the strainer body and is provided on the inner circumference of said through hole with a thin seal member coaxially containing a circular hole of a diameter smaller than said outside diameter of the suction pipe. Said suction pipe is provided with a flange which is adapted to rest stably on the upper surface of said top plate. When the suction pipe is forcibly inserted through the circular hole of said seal member until the fastening means of the top plate snap into fast engagement with the flange, the suction pipe and the strainer body are united with force enough to defy inadvertent separation.

Disclosed herein is a one-piece plastic molding clip which comprises a base plate, a resilient engaging arm extending from the one edge of and generally parallel to said plate and provided at the free end thereof with a molding-engaging snap catch and resilient receiving members protruding from the base plate to the front side thereof and resiliently engaging the edge of a plate glass. This molding clip fastens a plate glass and a molding to the frame of an automobile window, front or rear, by causing said base plate having an adhesive tape or similar fastening agent applied to the rear face thereof to be fastened to the window frame, supporting the edge of the plate glass on the resilient receiving members, inserting the molding adjacent the window frame and the rear face of the base plate and bringing the molding into fast engagement with the snap catch.
