The invention relates to a method for producing a sulfide solid electrolyte containing a lithium element, a sulfur element, a phosphorus element, an iodine element and a bromine element, which includes mixing and grinding lithium sulfide and lithium bromide followed by adding phosphorus sulfide and lithium iodide thereto and reacting them, and relates to a sulfur-based material.

The object of the disclosure is to provide a method for efficiently producing fine particles with low crystal growth of the raw material components, in particular fine particles with a plurality of raw material components in a highly complexed state and having low crystal growth, without blockage of the nozzle. A manufacturing method for a sulfide-based solid electrolyte material includes: preparing a raw material mixture, containing LiHS and LiX (X is one of F, Cl, Br and I), from a single lithium source; and desorbing hydrogen sulfide from the LiHS in the raw material mixture to form LiS and synthesizing a sulfide-based solid electrolyte material from the LiX and the LiS.
