A polyimide resin includes an acid anhydride residue; and a diamine residue, the polyimide resin including a residue of a polysiloxane diamine represented by Formula (1) in an amount of not less than 60% by mole in the total amount of the diamine residue: wherein, n is a natural number and an average value thereof calculated from the average molecular weight of the polysiloxane diamine is 45 to 200; Rand R, the same or different, each represent an alkylene group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms or a phenylene group; and Rto R, the same of different, each represent an alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a phenyl group or a phenoxy group.

[Problem] To provide a highly heat resistant resin composition which exhibits good tackiness at low temperatures less than or equal to 180&#xb0; C., and whose production of a volatile portion due to decomposition or the like is small even at high temperatures greater than or equal to 250&#xb0; C., and whose increase in adhesive force is small even after passage through a heat treatment step, and therefore which allows a base material to be easily peeled off at room temperature when the base material is to be peeled off, and a cured membrane and a laminate film that employ this resin composition. [Solution Means] A resin composition containing a polyimide-based resin and a methylol-based compound, the resin composition being characterized in that the polyimide-based resin has an acid dianhydride residue and a diamine residue, and has as the diamine residue at least a residue of a polysiloxane-based diamine represented by General formula (1) and a residue of an aromatic diamine having a hydroxyl group, and a cured product and a laminate film that employ this resin composition. Resin composition, cured film, laminated film, and method for manufacturing semiconductor device

An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display exhibiting excellent display performance. The object of the present invention is achieved by a colored polymer thin film having an average refractive index of 1.60 to 1.90, and an absolute value of birefringence of 0.01 or less, and a color filter and a liquid crystal display using the colored polymer thin film. The color filter using the colored polymer thin film of the present invention exhibits reduced retardation, and can thus provide a liquid crystal display exhibiting excellent display performance.
