A radio communication method for transmitting and receiving data between a first terminal and a second terminal comprises the following two steps. A step of establishing a connection between the first terminal and the second terminal when the first terminal and the second terminal have detected that a signal has not been transmitted on a predetermined channel, and the other step of starting data communications between the first terminal and the second terminal which have established the connection, and transmitting the predetermined signal on the predetermined channel from both the first terminal and the second terminal throughout the data communications.

Radio communication apparatus and method for preventing hidden terminals

A wireless video terminal (17) creates a control signal for requesting video data. This control signal includes the type of the requested video data, a method of transmitting the video data, a position registration request and the like. The wireless video terminal (17) requests the video data by transmitting this control signal to a video server (11) through a base-station for control-data (19) and a network (13). The video server (11) transmits the requested video data to the wireless video terminal (17) requesting the video data through a designated channel, via the network (13), a router for video-data (14) and a base-station for video-data (15).

Wireless video distribution system which avoids communication path

The invention provides a communication network system which permits parallel access of a plurality of nodes to a transmission line and which has a high throughput and low delay, with fairness among the nodes maintained. In the communication network system, a plurality of tokens correspondingly associated with the nodes, respectively, are allowed to circulate on the transmission line. Each node is allowed to transmit data only when the frame insertion buffer is empty. The node, when having data to be transmitted, awaits the arrival of a token. If a token that has arrived corresponds to the self node, or if a node corresponding to the arrived token is downstream of the destination node as viewed from the own self node, the node forms a packet from its holding data and transmits it onto the transmission line.
