In a light-emitting device according to a first aspect of the present invention, a condenser is configured to smooth an output voltage of a switching power source. A voltage source of the light-emitting device is configured to adjust a voltage of the condenser. A processor of the light-emitting device is configured to turn on a light-emitting element of the light-emitting device. The processor is configured to measure the output voltage in a turning-on period of the light-emitting element and store the measured output voltage on the storage medium as a reference voltage. The processor is configured to turn off the light emitting element. The processor is configured to control a voltage output from the voltage source on the basis of the reference voltage stored on the storage medium so as to adjust the voltage of the condenser immediately before the light-emitting element is next turned on.

Light-emitting device and driving device

An imaging device according to an embodiment includes an imaging circuit, a variable-voltage power source, a light-emitting element, a constant current-driving circuit, and a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to turn on the light-emitting element in a period during which the imaging circuit performs imaging. The control circuit is configured to turn off the light-emitting element in a period during which the imaging circuit does not perform imaging. The control circuit is configured to control voltage applied to the light-emitting element by the variable-voltage power source on the basis of voltage of an input terminal of the constant current-driving circuit when the light-emitting element is turned on. The control circuit is configured to control the variable-voltage power source and apply predetermined voltage greater than or equal to compliance voltage of the light-emitting element to the light-emitting element when the light-emitting element is turned off.

Imaging device

Disclosed herein is an LSI apparatus having a CPU and a plurality of functional blocks for controlling an external equipment, the plurality of functional blocks sharing one external terminal connected to the external equipment, including: a mode register having a flag information set by the CPU indicating validity or invalidity of each functional block; a selector for switching the connection between each functional block and the external terminal; and a switch controller retaining a priority sequence among each functional block, for controlling switching of the selector based on the priority sequence and the flag information set at the mode register.

LSI apparatus

An information recording/reproducing apparatus for recording or reproducing information on or from a recording medium in response to a command sent from a host computer has a cache memory serving as an intermediate memory and temporarily storing information to be transferred to or from the host computer. In response to an information record command sent from the host computer, completion of writing of information is reported to the host computer at the end of storing record data transferred from the host computer in the cache memory. The record data stored in the cache memory is written on a recording medium independently of data transfer between the host computer and intermediate memory. In response to an information playback command sent from the host computer, it is determined whether playback data requested by the host computer is consistent with unprocessed record data stored in the cache memory. When the playback data is inconsistent with or no duplicate of the unprocessed record data, writing of data from the cache memory onto the recording medium is suspended and processing requested with the information playback command is executed as a top priority.

Information recording/reproducing apparatus and data processing method

An information processing apparatus includes an interface for connecting a host computer and a plurality of external units, and a cache memory unit interposed in the interface, for temporally storing data which is transmitted or received through the interface. The cache memory unit includes an access control circuit for selectively setting a plurality of ID numbers corresponding to ID numbers of the plurality of external units in the interface, receiving access to the plurality of external units by the host computer, and making it possible that the host computer transparently accesses the plurality of external units.

Information processing apparatus incorporating automatic SCSI ID

An information recording and reproducing apparatus for copying information from a master medium to a plurality of copying media, including a master medium reproducing unit for reading information from the master medium; a plurality of copying-medium recording unit for writing the information read from the master medium onto copying media; and a copying operation controlling unit for controlling the above-described recording and reproducing units; wherein a copying process is started when the copying operation controlling unit detects the mounting of a master medium into the master medium reproducing unit. At the end of a copying process, successful media are automatically ejected from the apparatus, whereas unsuccessful ones remain in the apparatus without being ejected, so that a user can easily know which media are successful and which ones are unsuccessful.

Information recording and reproducing apparatus for copying information

A virtual floppy disk region having the same contents as that of a floppy disk for starting is provided to a magneto-optic recording playback device (MO) as an external mass storage device of a personal computer, and makes the system start-up from the OS stored therein possible. A MO 18 which conforms to SCSI comprises a media-region management information storage region 18a, a virtual floppy disk region 18b having a storage capacity the same as that of a floppy disk, and a user's region 18c which stores data and programs and has a large storage capacity equal to or more than a hard disk. The virtual floppy disk region 18b is stored with a starting program which is the same as a starting disk and a device driver 20 for the MO's use. Also, a virtual floppy BIOS which is a program for calling the virtual floppy disk region 18b at the time of system starting is provided separately.
