A stretchable device includes a resin base member, strain gauges, and electrical wiring. The strain gauges include a longitudinal strain gauge and a lateral strain gauge. The electrical wiring includes an electrical wiring line for longitudinal strain and an electrical wiring line for lateral strain. The electrical wiring line for longitudinal strain and the electrical wiring line for lateral strain each include a first potential line, a second potential line, a coupling line, a first signal line, and a second signal line. The first signal line detects a third potential at a first coupling point where the second end of the corresponding strain gauge is coupled to the second potential line. The second signal line detects a fourth potential at a midpoint of the coupling line. The amount of change in resistance of each strain gauge is detected based on a difference between the third potential and the fourth potential.

According to one embodiment, a flexible substrate including an insulating base including first and second strip portions, and island-shaped portions, electrical elements, scanning lines, signal lines, a first inorganic insulating film covering the scanning lines, and a second inorganic insulating film covering the signal lines, each of the scanning lines includes a first side edge and a second side edge, the first inorganic insulating film covers the first side edge and the second side edge, each of the signal lines includes a third side edge and a fourth side edge, and the second inorganic insulating film covers the third side edge and the fourth side edge.

Flexible substrate

According to an aspect, a stretchable device includes: a resin base member; and a strain gauge, a signal line, and an output line stacked on the resin base member. The resin base member includes: a plurality of bodies disposed separately from each other; and a plurality of hinges that couple the bodies adjacently disposed while meandering in an intersecting direction intersecting an imaginary line that couples the bodies adjacently disposed. The hinges include a first hinge and a second hinge that couple the bodies adjacently disposed. A meander length of the second hinge in the intersecting direction is longer than a meander length of the first hinge in the intersecting direction. The strain gauge is provided to the first hinge. The signal line and the output line are provided to the second hinge.

According to one embodiment, a flexible substrate including an insulating base including an island-shaped portion, a first to fourth strip portion, and an electrical element, wherein the electrical element includes a lower electrode, an upper electrode and an active layer, the lower electrode includes, in plan view, a first to fourth protruding portion, the first protruding portion overlaps the first strip portion, the second protruding portion overlaps the second strip portion, the third protruding portion overlaps the third strip portion, and the fourth protruding portion overlaps the fourth strip portion.

According to an aspect, a stretchable device includes: a resin base member including a plurality of island-shaped portions spaced apart from each other and a plurality of strip portions that couple the island-shaped portions; and a plurality of first gauge lines and at least one second gauge line having a gauge factor higher than that of the first gauge lines, the first gauge lines and the second gauge line being provided to each of the strip portions. The strip portion of the resin base member has a plurality of curved portions and a linear portion that couples the curved portions. The first gauge lines and the second gauge line each extend along an extending direction of the strip portion and are coupled along the extending direction of the strip portion. The first gauge lines are provided to the curved portions. The second gauge line is provided to the linear portion.

According to an aspect, a stretchable device includes: a resin base member including a plurality of island-shaped portions spaced apart from each other and a plurality of strip portions that couple the island-shaped portions; and a first gauge line and a second gauge line having a gauge factor higher than a gauge factor of the first gauge line, the first gauge line and the second gauge line being provided to each of the strip portions. The first gauge line and the second gauge line each extend along an extending direction of the strip portion and are coupled along the extending direction of the strip portion. The length of the second gauge line along the extending direction of the strip portion is shorter than the length of the first gauge line along the extending direction of the strip portion.

According to one embodiment, a flexible substrate includes a first insulating basement, which includes an island-shaped portion, a bridge portion, and an extending portion. The island-shaped portion includes a first island-shaped portion and a second island-shaped portion. The bridge portion extends in a first direction and connects the first island-shaped portion with the second island-shaped portion. The extending portion includes a first extending portion connected to the first island-shaped portion and extending in a second direction, and a second extending portion connected to the bridge portion and extending in the second direction.

According to one embodiment, an electronic device, wherein a insulating base and a wiring line are located between a first resin layer and a second resin layer, the insulating base includes a plurality of line portions in which the wiring line is located, and a plurality of island-shaped portions connected to the plurality of line portions, the second resin layer includes a first portion overlapping the plurality of line portions and the plurality of island-shaped portions, and a second portion located between the plurality of line portions, the second portion is in contact with the first resin layer, and at least one of the first resin layer, the first portion and the second portion is a shape memory resin layer.

According to an aspect, a stretchable device includes: a resin base member; and a signal line and a strain gauge stacked on the resin base member. The resin base member includes: a plurality of bodies disposed separately from each other; and a plurality of hinges that couple the bodies while meandering. The hinges each include: a plurality of bends that bend and are disposed between the bodies; and a base that linearly extends to couple one of the bodies to a corresponding one of the bends. The signal line includes: a bend signal line stacked on the bends; and a base signal line stacked on the base. The base signal line has an occupied area per unit length in a length direction of the signal line larger than the bend signal line when viewed in a stacking direction in which the signal line is stacked on the resin base member.

According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes a flexible film-like insulating base and a sensor disposed on the insulating base, and the insulating base includes a detection area in which the sensor is disposed and a peripheral area on an outer side of the detection area, and the peripheral area includes a reinforcement member provided thereon to extend along an outer circumference of the insulating base.

According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposing the first substrate, a pressure sensitive layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and an elastic member that covers the first substrate, the second substrate and the pressure sensitive layer. The first and second substrates include a first and second insulating substrates formed into a mesh-like shape. The elastic member includes slits that are formed around a first island-shaped portion of the first insulating substrate and a second island-shaped portion of the second insulating substrate. The slits open when the elastic member is expanded.

According to one embodiment, an electronic device comprises first and second flexible substrates. The first flexible substrate comprises a first insulating base includes first island portions and first strip portions connecting the first island portions, first electrical elements placed on the first island portions, and first lines placed on the first strip portions. The second flexible substrate comprises a second insulating base includes second island portions and second strip portions connecting the second island portions, second electrical elements placed on the second island portions, and second lines placed on the second strip portions.

Three dimensional stretchable OLED/OPD device

Purpose is to realize a flexible electronic device of high reliability. The present invention takes a following structure to realize the purpose. An electronic device including: a plurality of element areas, famed from a first organic insulating film, and formed in island shape arranged in a first direction with a first space and arranged in a second direction with a second space, in which an element, a first wiring extending in the first direction and a second wiring extending in the second direction are formed in each of the plurality of element areas, the first wirings famed in the plurality of the element areas are connected with each other by a first wire bonding in the first direction, and the second wirings famed in the plurality of the element areas are connected with each other by a second wire bonding in the second direction.

According to one embodiment, a flexible substrate includes a line portion including a support plate including a first surface, a flexible insulating base located on the first surface and a wiring layer disposed on the insulating base, a piezoelectric material covering the line portion, a protective member located on the piezoelectric material and an island-shaped first electrode provided on the insulating base.

According to one embodiment, a method of manufacturing a flexible substrate, includes forming a release layer on a glass substrate, forming an insulating base, forming a plurality of insulating layers, wiring lines and electrical elements, asking the release layer, the insulating base and the plurality of insulating layers from above to the glass substrate via a mask, forming an upper resin layer, removing the glass substrate and the release layer by peeling off an interface between the release layer and the insulating base and forming a lower resin layer so as to be in contact with a lower surface of the insulating base and a lower surface of the upper resin layer.
