This 2-pyridone compound represented by formula [1] or a tautomer of said compound, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of said compound or said tautomer, or a solvate of said compound or the like has a superior GK-activating effect and is useful as a pharmaceutical.

A 2-pyridone compound represented by the formula [1]: {wherein in the formula [1],the ring represented by A represents a benzene ring or a pyridine ring,X represents any of the structures represented by the formulas [3] shown below: V represents a single bond or a lower alkylene group, andW represents a single bond, an ether bond or a lower alkylene group (wherein the lower alkylene group may contain an ether bond)},a tautomer or stereoisomer of the compound, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or a solvate thereof is a compound that has an excellent GK activating effect and is useful as a pharmaceutical.

This invention relates to benzopyran derivatives of formula (I) or (II), or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof wherein Rand Rare independently of each other hydrogen atom, Calkyl group or Caryl group, Ris hydrogen atom or Calkylcarbonyloxy group, or together with Rforms a bond, Ris hydrogen atom, or together with Rforms a bond, m is an integer of 0 to 4, n is an integer of 0 to 4, V is a single bond, CRR, NR, O, S, SO or SO, Ris hydrogen atom or Calkyl group, Ris hydrogen atom, Calkyl group, Ccycloalkyl group, Ccycloalkenyl group, amino group, Calkylamino group, di-Calkylamino group, Carylamino group, Cheteroarylamino group, Caryl group, Cheteroaryl group or Cheterocyclyl group, A is 5-, 6- or 7-member ring fused with benzene ring, as constituent atom of the ring, oxygen atom, nitrogen atom or sulfur atom may be contained in the number of 1 to 3 alone or in a combination thereof, the number of unsaturated bond in the ring is 1, 2 or 3 including an unsaturated bond of the benzene ring to be fused, carbon atoms constituting the ring may be carbonyl or thiocarbonyl. These compounds are useful as an anti-arrhythmic agent.
