A shutter operation control apparatus of the present invention includes at least two shutter sectors between which a size of an aperture is defined. The apparatus comprises a shutter control plate which is moved in one direction upon a shutter release operation, and a sector cam surface formed on the upper surface of the shutter control member. The sector cam surface is provided for changing the size of the aperture according to a profile of the sector cam surface. The profile includes a curved surface which is capable of reducing an opening rate of the aperture while the size of the aperture is set to be small.

Apparatus for controlling an operation of a shutter

A shutter release device for a camera including a shutter release mechanism which is mechanically released. The shutter release device is provided with a release rod which is pushed down to operated a shutter of the camera, a delay member moved by a predetermined distance relative to the release member to release the shutter, a restraint mechanism and a restraint release mechanism. The shutter release mechanism is controlled by the delay member. The restraint mechanism has an engaging leg formed on the delay member and a restraint projection formed on a base plate, and the engaging leg is engaged with the projection to restrain movement of the delay member. The release restraint mechanism has a release slant formed on the release rod and engaged with the engaging leg to deform the leg so that it is released by the restraint projection.

Shutter release device

A lens position definition apparatus is provided in, for example, a camera. The apparatus includes a base member, a cam mechanism for controlling a position of the lens relative to the base member along a direction of an optical axis thereof in accordance with a rotational position thereof about the optical axis, and at least one spring for urging the lens in a direction inclined to the direction of the optical axis and the rotation thereof, in order to enable the cam mechanism to operate.

A shutter device of a camera which includes first and second sector mechanisms which constitute a lens shutter and which are independently opened and closed to define an aperture. A photometer, for detecting the luminance of an object to be photographed, and a diaphragm controller for controlling the aperture defined by the second sector mechanism, in accordance with luminance data detected by the photometer, are provided. A shutter opening element is provided which normally closes the first sector mechanism and opens the first sector mechanism when the second sector mechanism is held to define a predetermined aperture determined by the diaphragm controller, and a shutter closing element is provided which closes the second sector mechanisms at a predetermined timing in accordance with the luminance data of the photometer after the first sector mechanism is opened by the shutter opening element.

A shutter release device for a camera including a shutter release mechanism which is mechanically released. The shutter release device is provided with a release rod which is pushed down to operate a shutter of the camera, a delay member moved by a predetermined distance relative to the release member to release the shutter, a restraint mechanism and a restraint release mechanism. A stepping motor unit includes an annular motor mount having a center opening, a rotor which is rotatably supported on the annular motor mount, and a pair of stators which are supported on the annular motor mount to cause the rotor to rotate due to magnetic force. A camera device for controlling a motor-driven, automatic film winder which winds unexposed film in a camera includes first and second electrical contacts disposed on opposite sides of a film path for detecting the absence of film in the film path. The contacts are connected to a motor drive circuit for the automatic film winder so that the automatic film winder is disabled when the absence of film is detected. The first contact is disposed in an aperture in a film pressure plate, and the film pressure plate is urged towards a rear camera portion by a spring.

An automatic film wind-up camera to which can be attached any of three film backs containing 120, 220 or 70 mm type film. Each film back is provided with a signalling mechanism varying with the type of film contained within the film back. The camera body includes a film frame indexing mechanism capable of winding-up any one of the three film types. The film frame indexing mechanism of the camera is set for winding-up the appropriate length of film by the signalling mechanism provided on the film back.

A plate slidable on a film back has a hook which abuts a pin on a camera body as the film back is inserted. The hook is forced to slide as the film back is inserted and pulls a locking pawl on the film spool gear out of engagement until inserting is completed at which time the hook snaps back and locks the film back into the camera.

Mechanism for loading film back in or unloading same from camera body

A camera in which a standard film, 120 or 220 size is loaded behind the picture plane by using a standard film reel with film spool mounting members and means for guiding and holding the standard film and in which film back exchange is not carried out. The standard film reel is designed to be detachably mounted in the camera through an opening formed in the rear part of a reel accommodating chamber in the camera. The standard film can be replaced by a 70 mm film reel which is provided with mounting members for mounting a 70 mm film magazine outside and reel accommodating chamber and means for guiding said 70 mm film into the reel accommodating chamber and holding it therein. This is designed to be detachably mounted in the camera to thereby allow said camera to commonly use standard film and 70 mm film.

Shifting of the image plane during multiple exposure photography is prevented by releasing the unwinding button and a film locking member after the shutter operation. The release mechanism is preferably operated by an electromagnet used in the shutter operation.

Unwinding-mechanism releasing device for use in a camera

A film rewinding device in a camera in which depression of a sprocket shaft causes a clutch mechanism between a winding mechanism and a sprocket to be disengaged. This action causes a locking member to lock the sprocket shaft, to maintain the sprocket in rewinding state. The film rewinding device comprises a winding button linked to the sprocket shaft and appearing in a recess formed in an outer housing member of said camera. A bearing member is provided for the rewinding button and has a groove in the upper surface thereof. Hence, depression of said rewinding button to the depth of the groove in said bearing member will cause the sprocket shaft to be depressed to the disengagement position of the clutch mechanism provided between the winding mechanism and the sprocket. This maintains the clutch mechanism in a disengagement state by means of the locking member thereby to permit the film to be rewound.

In a camera having both a mechanical release and a motor drive release, the motor drive unit is provided with a cam which, when the motor drive unit is actuated, limits the movement of the mechanical release member to an amount sufficient only to trip a motor energizing switch without mechanically releasing the curtains. In this way, the same release lever can be used for both the mechanical and motor drive release operations.

A camera having an interchangeable finder with rails or rail grooves that is detachably mounted on a camera body by being moved back and forth. The camera body has rail grooves (or rails) engaging the interchangeable finder. A viscoelastic member and a resin member or a metal member are secured in combination to the interchangeable finder of the drawing type or the camera body. When the interchangeable finder of drawing type is mounted on the body, the resin member or the metal member abuts against the camera body or the interchangeable finder of drawing type to thereby establish an environmental seal.
