Crosslinked polyolefin foam and molded body using same

The crosslinked polyolefin resin foam of the present invention is a crosslinked polyolefin resin foam obtained by crosslinking and foaming a polyolefin resin composition comprising a polypropylene resin and an olefin rubber; the olefin rubber having a Mooney viscosity (ML, 100&#xb0; C.) of 15 to 85; the olefin rubber being contained in an amount of 10 to 150 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the polypropylene resin; the foam having a 25% compressive hardness of 30 to 70 kPa and a compressive strength ratio, 25% compressive strength/5% compressive strength, of 2.0 to 4.5. According to the present invention, a crosslinked polyolefin resin foam from which a molded product excellent in appearance can be obtained even in a secondary processing to a complicated shape without impairment of flexibility, and a molded product made from the same are provided.

The present invention relates to a foam having a density of 0.036 g/cc or more and less than 0.133 g/cc, having an elongation (%) at break at 160&#xb0; C. of 150% or more as measured in accordance with JIS K6251, a value of 7 or more obtained by multiplying the elongation (%) at break by a 100% modulus (MPa) at 160&#xb0; C. as measured in accordance with JIS K6251, and a cross-linking degree of 30 to 50%.

Foam, laminate, and formed product

The present invention provides a stretched thermoplastic resin foam sheet that has excellent flexibility even compressed to a thickness as thin as about 0.05 mm, and a method for producing the same. The stretched thermoplastic resin foam sheet of the present invention is producible by stretching a thermoplastic resin foam sheet and has a compressive strength of 1 to 500 kPa as measured in accordance with JIS K6767 when compressed in a thickness direction thereof to a thickness of 0.05 mm. Accordingly, the stretched thermoplastic resin foam sheet has excellent flexibility even compressed to a thickness as thin as about 0.05 mm and is suitably used as a sealing material for a small electronic device such as mobile phones.
